well done, youve shown yourself up, yes they maybe illegal, but is better than driving accross a mountain with no street lighting with one lamp out and the other showing signs of blowing anyway a dimm yellow.

bulbs have nothing to do with driving skill but i permit you to go away and imagine all you want.

yes they maybe danger to other road user hence why i want to change them asap and want to find the best deal and the best bulb in my budget.

although the box they came dont stipulate that they are illegal, the person who sold me them said they "burn a deep blue and may be illegal, you maybe have trouble with the law" searching it would seem that anythiong other than white and yellow is a moving traffic violation under the RTA.

no warning signs on them saying they may explode and caution must be used when driving past other road user as they may explode.
some people just aint got a clue.

That's ok if there is no warning on the box then. :rotfl:

But perhaps instead of posting on the internet looking for some new phat bling bulbs innit you should be getting your self some road legal ones which won't endanger other road users until you find the correct Max Power ones?

Had a look at http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/ and they are charging £27.50 for the Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs that I got a couple of weeks ago for £22.00. I expect there would be P&P on top too.

    what im looking for.

a different style brilliant white, with maybe some purple, blue green tint, thats road legal.

Remember that the MOT rules are changing from 2012 and any headlight deemed to be too bright will fail.

And you can't buy lights with these tints which are legal for road use.

Personally I tend to change my headlight bulbs before they get to that stage and I always have a spare in the glove box.

whats with the endager other road users etc you really are showing yourself up here. HID 8000k lamps are a absolute pain in the backside, fitted to merc and audi vw skoda vauxhaul seat dazzle you from a distance away. these thing are not at all bright, no matter what they claim to be i listed them as the specs fitted for information.

i fitted them in the evening on monday and havent been out in the dark since, IM NOT ENDAGERING NO ONE i intend fully on changing them hence the question for opinion on bulbs.

i could give you debate about them and could go the ends of the earth to keep showing you up just to prove a point but if you wish you could just move on. oh and MAX POWER went wayside about 2 years ago INNIT, try and get with it before you say it geez yeh.

ill go with the nightbreakers or phillips this time round, will get a set in the morning when my car goes in for the timing belt and water pump replacement.

skill would of been driving over llanwunno mountain without going off the edge with no lights on or too dangerous and putting others at risk wich ever way you want to IMAGINE IT.

common sense tells you to see and be seen.

    @ mikey
my lights were fine untill a heavy down poor and the descovery i have a minor leak in the headlamp seals wich have now been drained and sorted but the damage to the bulbs efore the other fitted were done not much you can do at 5:25 in the evening and the only place near there was open had no stock of his hella or lucas H7 bulbs. thiose nightbreakers seem decent enough to try out.

yes i know the 2012 regs on MOT's are being lets say common sensorised..lol. these bulbs should have no bearing on the test as long as they are E marked, and not brighter than main beam.

+1 for nightbreaker plus. Though you can get the pair for £13 on ebay. Very good lights.

If you don't fancy any on the blue ones in the autoexpress test look at

    http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/274711/tested_over_50_per_cent.html

the nightbreakers come out well for the price, but halfords do better if you can find a two for one deal.

I'd just like a H7 bulb that would last more than a few months, tried sveral recognised brands with the same results, the latest ebay items for £2.47 a pr delivered from a uk supplier are standing up so far :money:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
