Launched yesterday, it is a Finarea/Betamax response to SkypePro (whenever that happens). There is a €10 annual fee which includes €5 call credit, then a 3.9c connection charge per call and 40 countries available at zero tariff (incl UK) instead of Skype's 1.
Other Finarea/Betamax brands have the top-up/Freedays terms that mean €30 or £30 a year to get free calls year-round.
So for people that haven't gone for the other brands as they wouldn't use up the credit on chargeable destinations, this might be of interest.
For example someone who hasn't dabbled in VoIP yet, but occasionally rings abroad for fairly long calls (maybe family there), this could be ideal.
And if they didn't fancy buying a headset and sitting at the PC, they might get a free UK incoming number from another company, point it at this, divert VBPro to the foreign number and then call the local number from the landline via BT off-peak, 18185 or from landline or mobile inclusive calls packages. In fact someone living abroad could do the similar to have a UK number ...
And there are bound to be other ideas

It seems there is still are requirement of 120 day "Freedays". Also every call, including the "free" call desinations attract at 3.9 euro cent connection charge."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Very confusing
http://www.voipbusterpro.com/en/free.html
"Unlimited Free Calls
At VoipBuster Pro, you can get 1 year of unlimited free calls for just € 10,-
This package entitles you to call all destinations listed as "Free" for Free and includes € 5,- of calling credit so you can also call non-free destinations. All calls are subjected to a 3,9 euro cent connection fee. When you have ran out of freedays, the normal rate will be charged for these destinations. You can get new Freedays by buying a new unlimited call package.
Fair Use and Restrictions
VoipBuster Pro considers a maximum of 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address as fair use. If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply. Please consult our terms of use."0 -
These ambiguities are remarked on elsewhere
It seems maybe some people have not been charged the connection fee, but I'll update this later on more feedback0 -

I suspect what has happened is they have just cut and pasted from one of their other providers and have not properly updated their terms."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
I signed up on Saturday night, and made a few calls, nothing showing up as being charged.
The 365 freedays shows up, but no sign of the 5 euros appearing in my account, as of yet, tried sending a message asking if this takes longer to show up, but as of yet, i haven't got a reply.
The website, is very confusing, the only thing i could think, is that on the buy page, there is 2 choices, to top up or to buy the 365 unlimited, so perhaps if you pick the top up option, that is the 120 freedays with the 10 euros in your account, ala like how their other VOIP services work?0 -
I had the same problem, which is now sorted out. In terms of audio quality the service is very good.
No complaints from me.0 -

Think it might be back to VOIP cheap, at least it is 10 euros for 90 days, you keep the cash, to use on non free calls, this VOIP buster did seem to be a good deal, but not when it means you are effectively paying for the call twice, in the 10 euros and from the so called 5 euros of free calling credit, which is really only going back towards paying for the so called freeday calls.0 -
So basically you pay 10euros a year and then all free calls cost 3.9euro cents? Have I got this right?
So £6.60 a year and each call 2.5p assuming you only call landlines and can find alternative numbers from saynoto0870
This sounds good for us as we are very low users
So you get £3.30 worth of credit
£3.30/2.5p = 132 calls / 12 months = 11 calls a month
Currently with VOIPdiscount 10euros with 120 freedays so £6.60 x 3 = £19.80 a year
Difference £19.80 - £6.60 = £13.20 I could top up to get the the same yearly cost
So I'd have to make £13.20/2.5p = 528 calls on top to get to the same yearly cost - 660 calls a year = 55 calls a month before it starts costing me more!
Think I'll save money as we definately don't make on average 2 calls a day - to be honest I think the £3.30 will last us the year!
Might give this a try when my freedays/credit runs out0 -
Yes it's €10 for a year, with €5 credit built in. Each call you make gets hit with a 3.9 cents connection fee. Great to landlines because you can make long calls for 3.9 cents. Obviously you need to keep topping up the credit for the connection fee. It's a good deal for longish calls. I use another Voip provider (Voipfone) for short calls - mostly to mobiles, because they don't have a connection fee and charge by the second. They also supply you with a free incoming UK number which is very useful for receiving calls in the UK.
You need to shop around and pick the service provider/s that suit you the best. I use a PAP2T SIP box connected directly to the router so I can plug a normal phone in. So if you are not daunted by the technology it's pretty simple and flexible.0 -
Sounds good then
I already have an incoming number from sipgate and an ata with a normal phone0
