I've just cashed in £5.15 from a cashback site so that should be there in a few days. I was tempted to go for amazon vouchers instead but thought I'd be good :D

  • Just having a soothing cuppa :D:coffee: - hands them round :) and a couple of biscuits too :)

jwil - you know your finances better than anyone but i would ask is there no way you can get any more interest free cards or overdrafts? (making sure you can balance transfer onto the cards first of course ;)) I am only asking as i am only applied for a card after you were successful last year and never expected to be accepted :o You are right when i was paying it off and incurring interest it was :(

i only wanted to ask as i would never have applied if it wasn't for you so maybe something would be possible and i'm trying to help :o

*shh* i won't tell anyone you were on the comp til late if you don't ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • peaceandfreedom i am so sorry to hear Mr p&f hasn't found a new job as yet. ((hugs)) to you. i know you work really hard at your job and reading your posts about the jobs you are doing with your home and garden and debt-busting i thought you were both working together on this.

You know my situation regarding getting stuff done so i do understand and if ever you want to vent i'm here :)

I have heard people can take it hard when they are made redundant which is understandable

Morning everyone :) I feel rubbish today. I haven't even left for work yet

    Payday though :T

DDFW - no chance of the 0% sadly, my debt to income is too high :( I only got those last year as my loan was deferred for a couple of months, so for a couple of months it looked like I had a lot less than I did :D

As I've only told you guys about my computer ban, there's only you lot that can tell me off :D

Best get on. Catch you all later!

Woo! :j To payday :D Bleurgh! To feeling rubbish though - hope you aren't coming down with something x

Sorry to hear you can't get 0% hon - considering my debt v income and already available credit (not at 0%) i was surprised i got accepted for 3 new credit cards which i applied for at different times

Not to worry jwil - i will keep cheering you on to clear 1 bill at a time and as that happens you may get offered 0% or close it on your credit file so its better for you if you aren't using it - i think thats what they said on tv the other day.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, DDFW. It's nothing to do with taking it hard - he's never done anything around the house but you'd think that with no actual job, he'd think of SOME things to do. Sometimes, I am totally astonished by his laziness, it takes my breath away.

And no, we are not working together on anything, especially the debt-busting, not when he p****s away so much money down the bogs of the local pub.

Do you know, I get so wound up thinking about it all that I've decided not to think about it any more. I am going to concentrate on the things I CAN change - I am far from perfect myself and prone to extended bouts of laziness too, so I'm going to sort myself out and stop moaning about OH. It's bad for my blood pressure. :o

There's plenty I can be doing and I am feeling a surge of excitement because it's the first day of Spring tomorrow. I am going to spend more time doing the things I love doing.

For example, I love being out in the hills but I hardly ever get out there. In future, when it's a fine day and the hills are calling, I'm just going to go - work can be done later. :)

Hope you feel a bit better now, Jwil, and that your day went with a swing. :D

The weather is lovely here again today so I'm guessing it's similar for you as you're not too far away.

Good for the soul, this time of year. Winter almost over, Spring just kicking in, a garden full of snowdrops and crocuses and lots of seeds waiting to be sown. :T

Hello everyone, still feeling awful :( I just feel completely drained and haven't got a bit of energy. Plus I'm a bit headachey and feel sick generally.

Anyway enough of that, p&f - your new plan sounds lovely and just getting out when it's nice will be fab! It's glorious here today and I enjoyed being in the sun at lunchtime :)
