Thanks ebayqueen - ebay is always hard work, none of this sometimes lark :rotfl:

Oh well, best laid plans and all that, DH went out this morning and broke down, so I've spend the last couple of hours going out to him and giving him a hand. He's managed to get home now though, so that's a relief.

Vehicles are such a pain in the rear though!

  • Afternoon, its been ages since I have caught up with your diary jwil :o and you have all had me in stitches over your pelvic floor exercises conversations ............amongst others !!:rotfl:

Have to agree with you re the hassle of ebay / free cycle, it drives me mad ! We had 24 watchers on some furniture the other day and not one single bid. It did eventually go when we re- listed. We also sold another piece of furniture the same day, but that has never been paid for or collected ! It also irritates me when your ad clearly states PICK UP ONLY, and the silly divs then send a message asking how much it will be to transport a table and 6 chars to Timbuktoo for them !! If they really can't collect ,then find out the shipping cost yourselves you lazy people !!

Anyway enough of that rant, thought I would just join in !! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear DH broke down today, cars drive you mad don't they ? Glad he is safely rescued and home now .I will keep my fingers crossed you don't get hit with any huge repair bills.

Anyway I'm going again now, hope you enjoy the rest of this beautiful sunny weekend

Thanks PG, I feel your pain about the non-collection and payment. I don't understand why people are so ignorant. If I buy something from ebay, I want it asap so I pay straight away

Hope you have a lovely weekend too, it's glorious out there, so we've opened up all the house to give it a good airing :)

  • Hi all :)

not been feeling myself of late and though i'm feeling better today i'm also completely exhausted :o

Jwil  - to people messing you about on your microwave - hope you get a nice bit of money for it tomorrow instead ;)

Haha peaceandfreedom - you are so right with those wanted ads :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

retiredandskint - i've found the same with my eb*y listings lots of watchers and lots of different things and no bids - luckily though a few did sell when relisted (without any changes to price or anything for that matter) hope it turns out the same for you. i do think there are those who watch as selling similar but i also think maybe buyers are not bidding as readily now?

jwil - hope your hubbys car is soon back on the road - pesky cars eh?!

jwil - ebayqueen - it is a bright day here too but its also a chilly one brr! Glad its not frosty / icy though :)

hope i've not missed anyone off - and hope everyone is ok x

Hey DDFW, hope you are having a more restful day.

I get annoyed too when there are lots of watchers and no bids - you get your hopes up and then they are dashed :( :rotfl:

I'm hoping that now it's close to payday people will start bidding again :T

We have been sorting out some stuff for boot sale tomorrow (including that darned microwave :D), and have got a couple of bulky items to go hopefully. I've also had a look through some of my books to see what I've got on the kindle and what I can put on there for nothing (mainly classics). That has cleared a nice pile to go. I think I've also broken a bookcase in the process  but it's so crammed with books it doesn't appear to matter at the moment :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone,

Good luck for those ebaying and car booting. Hope the glorious weather lasts - it is fabulous here today. :j

But I am in a VERY bad mood - just feeling mega-stressed and feel like screaming like a banshee at everyone. No doubt some PMT mixed in with a healthy dose of would-like-to-strangle-my-OH-itis.

I mean, it's been over 3 months now since he was made redundant and (bearing in mind our house needs decorating from top to toe) what has he achieved in those three months? I can tell you what - sweet FA, nothing, nada, diddly-squat, zippo, zilch, b****r-all. If I sat down and scratched my wobbly butt for an hour, I would have achieved more than he has in 3 months.

    ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

Had to get that off my chest, thanks for listening. :D

Oh peaceandfreedom, sorry to hear that but this did make me chuckle :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can truly sympathise and I know exactly what you mean. If it was left to me, this house would have been sorted ages ago, but sadly it's not :(

    Have some dodgy hugs :grouphug:

Rant away m'dear, and hope it makes you feel better.

    Hope your evening improves. :)
