Jwil, thanks for asking about my holiday on the 2012 challenge thread.
We are going to Majorca on a typical package sun, sea and sand holiday. All inclusive so hardly any spends money needed.
I want to be debt free but I want to live as well. So I am finding the cheapest way to do the things I want to do.
Recently I have heard some very sad stories about people I know being seriously ill and they are younger than me so I'm going to live a little.
Eb*y day tomorrow for the great declutter
I hope I have half your success at Eb*ying.

Ooh that sounds nice o2bfree, I went to Majorca a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I'd like to go back. Good that it's all inclusive too :T

I think you have to live a bit sometimes. I'm not in the camp that you should never have a holiday or buy something. It's going to take me years to pay off my debt, so I have to try and live a little as well. It always brings it home as well when you hear of people getting ill, life's too short not to enjoy it as well as you can and it's about balancing out the debt repayment with doing things you enjoy.

    Good luck with the listings!

Well last night's sleep was even worse than before *yawn*. DH was snoring all night    No amount of [STRIKE]beating[/STRIKE] gently nudging him makes a difference, he just sleeps through it :rotfl:

We were up bright and early this morning to go booting (well not so bright in my case), I bought 3 books :D and a couple of other bits. The books will be read and listed.

My ebay items have gone up a bit, so I'm rather pleased, hope they go up a bit more before they end, though I'm very happy with what they are selling for at the moment.

I don't think I'm going to get anything new on today, just relists, but there are plenty of those.

    See the irony there? :rotfl:

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi jwil

Haven't done a car boot for ages..probably 8 years. And never go..to avoid the temptation. As you say may be worth doing one or else I was wondering about the equivalent of a garage sale sometime in the Spring..just haul stuff into the front garden and see what goes? Has anyone tried this in the UK?

Slow weekend haven't done anything much except for seeing family and reading self help financial books!!!:A need to ensure I stay on track this time! Well done to all those who were much more productive!!

We go booting most weekends, I'm generally pretty good. Most of my spends are usually books which get sold again once I read them. We have had some absolute bargains though with furniture and other stuff.

I've seen people doing garage sales before, we've stopped and had a look a few times if we pass one. It's probably worth a try - especially if you have a lot of passing traffic on your road - otherwise I do see them advertised in the local press on occasion as well.
