Do you mean you're aiming towards the £2421 and £2050 figures in your sig? - you've definitely made an amazing start towards your target and we're only just into the month! Well Done you! :T:T:T

Yep, those are my first two targets. The PAMAYC challenge covers ALL payments I make to all my debts, so I'm snowballing to try and clear a few as well. Not all of my debts are 0% so although I hope to pay £15k, that won't reduce my debt by £15k. My minimums are high, so the total paid is always going to be high sadly :o

This is one of the worst things on Ebay, I even send everthing recorded and I've had people say they haven't received even though it had been signed for

I don't ever use recorded for less than £46 for exactly that reason HI. The post office will say it's signed for and so you can't claim for a lost item, and they don't always update the website so you'd lose a Paypal claim.

If you get proof of posting, you can claim back if something goes missing because they can't track it either. For stuff over £46 it should be sent special delivery anyway which is expensive but fully tracked.

Realistically, very little does go missing, this is my first item in the UK for years, and even overseas I've only had a handful go missing.

It's a pain claiming though, and it's always frustrating when it happens, especially when you are relying on the money

Paid a small £5 today towards my first target.

I've also sent a letter of complaint to my bank, as yesterday I saw a DD had come out a day earlier than expected and had made me slightly overdrawn (less than £5). I transferred some money over to cover it using faster payments and thought that would be ok. However, checking today, they have bounced the DD which means I'll get a charge. They are supposed to have a policy of letting you have until 3pm to get the balance back on track without getting any charges and the payment is showing that it was in there. So I'm a bit  about that.

It's also a fee paying account, so I've asked them to convert it to a basic account as I don't use the 'benefits'. I've been meaning to do that for probably a year or more now :o

Hi Hiddenidentity - i agree this is so frustrating and it always seems that they agree with the buyer

Well Done on the payment! :j

But Grr! to the bank  I expect they'll refund you any charges as they have very clearly made a mistake - provided the funds were there by 3pm - i think faster payments can still take up to 2hours as a maximum timescale :)

And well done on saving money by cancelling the fee-paying account. I also have a fee paying account - simply because its cheaper for me to pay for the account than what it would be for me to pay for the various benefits i receive and use though :)

I'm taking a break from eb*ying tonight - it was a long and painful job these last 2 nights so i'll crack on again on friday after having a little break :o - it didn't help with the comp playing up though either :o

I did the faster payment before 8am, so it should have got there before 3pm. I'm not sure I'm expecting anything back from them and will probably still have the charge but I just thought I'd rant to them :D

Aarrrgghhh  I've got a neutral from someone who obviously likes to hand them out for a pastime. It doesn't make any sense to me, and there has been no contact from the buyer  It appears they think I've given good service, but don't like the item

    Darn it, how annoying!

Hello Jwil and all by the way, sorry I've been out of action - came down with the dreaded lurgy.

Hope your ebay annoyances clear up soon, Jwil. Maybe that parcel that didn't turn up will turn up soon, you never know.

I have nothing to report really, back to work today but can't claim to have achieved a great deal. Still feeling a bit yeuch to be honest, and last night's disturbed sleep (that howling gale and the recycling stuff clattering about in the driveway) didn't help. Will try for an early night tonight!

Good to see you again peaceandfreedom, sorry to hear you've been ill, hope you feel better soon and have a good night's sleep.

I've had a message from my ebayer, saying that the parcel is on the way back to me as they didn't get carded. I've said I'll post it back, it's nice to be dealing with someone pleasant and patient! I'm just glad it's turned up again. :j

Jwil - they really should be re-imbursing you any charges you've incurred in that case as it is there error. Very frustrating though!

Aaaaaargh! Indeed! At the end of the day no matter how much something has been photo'd and described everyone knows until you receive you aren't 100% on how it looks /feels. People like this do annoy me - giving out neutrals when you've done nothing wrong

Take care peaceandfreedom - hopefully you'll sleep better tonight after a days works and wake up tomorrow refreshed and with the flu behind you. :)

In other eb*y news - i responded to my buyer about the item and said if they can let me know if they receive it - and got a message today to say they have received it and that they love it :T:T:T Phew! no need to try and claim back through the post office then :)

Lots to do today - and first things first is probably getting showered and dressed :o I slept well for the first time in weeks last night :) to be honest though i expected to - i felt on the verge of nodding off all yesterday so clearly needed the sleep ;)

Done a bit more gift shopping - birthdays and xmas saving 75% :T - not checked the items out as yet but think i will and then i've got some bits for everyone which always makes me feel better :) And i know - i do start my xmas shopping very early :o:o:o
