I wanted to get responses from people based on how an employer would be thinking and see what my employers stance could be. But alas I am the employee facing this death sentence at Christmas time.
This is so so out of character for me and I just don't know how I ended up in this situation but here I am in the poop and facing my disciplinary tomorrow.
Thanks for the comments and I can only hope that my employers have the brass to keep me on as i am a bloody good employee that has faced a terrible 3 + years.
Well personally I wouldn't have said anything different if you had told the truth. But equally I am somewhat !!!!ed off at being used in this way, so I hope you won't need to post again - because I for one won't believe anything you say from now on and won't answer.0 -

It's all about gaining a different perspective , a little role play that's all. Answers are very different when given as if I were the employer and it's been a valuable exercise in considering my employers position.
Please don't take it to heart and I still thank you for your valid input, I just see it from the opposite side of the coin now that's all.0 -

I find that bit quite ironic :eek:0 -

...which is fine with consenting and informed parties....Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
This is a bit of a weird one ....
Assuming that this is genuine and that there is a disciplinary tomorrow, I hope that you come back and tell us what happened.0 -
I dont get your berating my posts, many companies use penninsula, and your comment seriously undermine their business. carry on with posts like this and they will be reported. Like i said not cricket and if you really are in law you act like a child.
You've obviously not used the business end of Peninsula, otherwise you'd know why Jarndyce was laughing his socks off!0 -

As Emmzi said, that is fine with our consent. It is not fine to abuse the trust that people put in you that you are the telling the truth. Perhaps you might consider the fact that your little role play has left people here in the position of your boss - having their trust and confidence in you breached by lies and fraud? This is dishonest - seems that I was wrong and its not so out of character after all.0 -
Well I've never noticed you post on here before so that is certainly true in your case. But of those who post regularly I think we all have a very good idea about who knows what they are talking about and who doesn't.
..is that the royal we? :rotfl:
tbh, whoever you are, Jarndyce, your posts on this thread come across as self-righteous ramblings.0 -

Basically we now have the view that you're a liar and what you've said is just a load of old tripe. It looks like you are an extremely underhanded devious individual who has been fishing to try and find a range of excuses you can use to prevent you getting your P45 handed to you for ripping off your employer and the only reason you paid the money back is because you got well and truly caught with your hand in the till.
Sounds like your employer is going to be better off without you now the truth about your character has come to light.
Good luck down the dole office.0 -
I can understand the feeling of those on this thread whe feel they have 'been used', however, I thought it was quite a clever ploy by the OP to enable him to envisage any aspect of his disciplinary he may have not been aware of.
If he indeed avoids dismissal, then it could be argued that his plan worked - whether it was a moral thing to do by stringing everyone along is another matter.
If the end justified the means I suppose..................!0
