Hi. I want to buy a baby bouncer toy for a 5 month old girl but am not sure which one of the following to go for:
Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bright-Starts-Bounce-Baby/dp/B003LQU0GO/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1323698755&sr=1-1
Fisher Price Bounce & Spin Froggy Entertainer
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Bounce-Spin-Froggy-Entertainer/dp/B0030T13LS/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_t_1
I know the Fisher Price Jumperoo is highly praised but is too expensive and quite large (unless I can find a good second-hand one locally)
I would appreciate any advice - especially from people who have got any of these items. Thanks:)

It depends really on your daughters personality. I have had something simular for all 3 of mine however DD1 was not really interested so I got a small one from freecycle. DD2 has the jumperoo and its great she loves it and the height can be adjusted so I'm hoping will last longer.
I took DD2 to mothercare sat her in a few decided which one I wanted then got it cheaper elsewhere. A secondhand one should be fine they are only in them for 6/7 months.

IMO i didnt like the froggy one, nor did my daughter. I have never seen the bright stars one close up
For me its a jumperoo all the way. We bought ours 2nd hand of ebay for £50 and sold it 6 months later on ebay for £55 lol.
The newer versions(2008 ONWARDS) fold into themselves when not in use so are easier to store
Looking on completed items i would expect to pay anything from 35-55 second hand for a jumperoo0 -
I can't help with which one but the Bright Starts one is on sale here for £39.99 with free delivery

I cant recommend any of your choices, I looked at the froggy one but thought it didnt look to secure.
We had the fisherprice jumperoo here too... it was ace, I picked it up on ebay locally cheap. It was much loved that we ended up with a rainforest and ocean wonders one so both the boys had one.
But if its space your lacking in I dont think the shops sell them is fisherprice hop and pop... but ive seen them on ebay xmum to; Two Boys (Non id twins)Two Girls (Id twins)0 -

Nothing on my local freecycle unfortunately and my local Mothercare only have buggies and walkers on display. I may look into the Bright Starts Bouncer they sell though.
Unfortunately I have not been able to 'road-test' any which is the reason for my post. Thanks:)0 -

Can I ask why you didn't like this one - any particular reason?
I have looked at a couple on ebay but none for collection locally at present and postage costs bump these up to nearly new prices. Thanks.:)0 -
Got to be jumperoo. We got one and our 7 month still loves it. My mum got the Bright Start one and she hates it. Barely bounces and is not secure for a 6 month old or under there is no padding to the seat what so ever.
Good luck anyways whatever you choose xxBaby Girl Born May 2011Baby Boy Born Nov 2012

Definitely the jumperoo it cost us £80 form argos but it was worth every penny for the peace i got when she was in it, both baby and i cried the day she got too big for it!
My friend had a similar but cheaper one and it was nowhere near as good.
We sold ours on and got back £55 for it (kept all the packaging) so well worth the £25 it actually cost!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Go for the jumparoo but get it second hand, it's not worth buying new. We bought ours for £45 on ebay and when the little one has outgrown it, expect to get a similar amount when selling. So by that logic we've kind of had it for free (excepting ebay fees). It keeps little one entertained brilliantly, he's been using it since around 5 months and will probably use it til he's one.0

Jumperoo again, LO loved his, it was money well spent and as someone else has mentioned they do fold up. One of the springs snapped on ours, I emailed FP and they sent a whole new "leg" out that day.0
