Orange PAYG PAC Code Query

Hi,

I've got an Orange PAYG mobile but I want to tranfer my number to my new Virgin Mobile Contract.

When I phone Orange up to get the PAC code, what will happen - i.e. will I lose my remaining PAYG credit on the account and how long will I have until they close my account?

Thanks for your help!

  • I'm sure that someone out there has an experiene of doing this, either asking for a PAC from Orange PAYG or another network's PAYG plan.

Nothing will happen when you request your PAC from Orange.

When you submit your PAC to Virgin they will give you a date that the port will take place. They must give at least 7 calendar days notice.

On the date that the transfer takes place your Orange account is cancelled and any remaining credit is lost.
  • Right - thanks for that! Wanted to check whether I'd lose my credit as soon as I requested my PAC or when the porting takes place.

Lets hope everything now goes to plan!
