but what pcombo states is relevant.

if a website lowers its prices within 30 days and you want the difference refunded then if a website increased its prices within 30 days and asked you to pay them the diffence would you?

Of course not. Again, this is about CONSUMER rights and money-saving. Not BUSINESS rights and ways to make more money.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

yes but you DONT have any CONSUMER rights to get the difference refunded as if you did then the retailer would have the same rights to ask you to pay the difference if they increased the price.
  • Not statutory rights, no, but if it's a service that is offered then yes you do have the right.

And as you know, there are ways to get around it, such as the right to return under DSR.

Also, as you well know, consumer rights are NOT the same as business rights.

yes you have DSR, but you have no rights to just ask for them to refund the difference

    Yes you do.
You have every right to ask them to refund the difference, just as they have every right to refuse this request.

This happened to me with Amazon, I ordered a DVD for £16 on the Thursday, it was posted Friday morning around 9am and at 10am Friday morning it went down to £12. I emailed to complain and their first email basically told me that it was tough, after i sent a more angry one threatening to send it back under DSR then they backed down and gave me the £4. Its not basic policy though
