    Ay up all! :hello:

Pippi I get exhausted just reading your lists! Glad things are going great though and yay! to the kidlets imminent return.

Uni - that is a Wood Wasp, if I'm not very much mistaken. I was lucky enough to be in the Principality (um, Wales) a couple of weekends ago. We were in my friend's garden sheltering from a terrific downpour during a thunderstorm and saw one of those on the ground. Ever prepared, my friend whipped out an 'insect and wildlife' guide from the garden boxes we were sitting on and we were able to identify it. I agree that the sting looks terrifying, it didn't say whether they were prone to using it! It did say however that they were common in the UK - but all of us assembled agreed we'd never seen one before - and no, I'm not telling you how many [STRIKE]centuries[/STRIKE] years the assembled posse added up to! :rotfl:

    Have a great day all.

  • Greying why how lovely to see you. Hope you're well? Sorry didn't get back on yesterday busy busy at work. The twiglets return on Monday whilst I'm in a meeting........whoops. Must sort that!

Wood wasps really don't look very nice........thanks for telling us what it was.

Hey up keiss, sounds like the vacation at home has been really useful. :) it's so windy and rainy here, mind you sounds like we've had it drier than most folks.....when does DS fly the coup to uni? Ds here goes at the end of September...........free telescopes all sound great.

    :)

Today, well yesterday's work went better than expected, so I'm off today. Hurray!

But, lots packing to do (maybe the barns) and then must pop to town.......a few things to do.

How many NSD's this week, um I think, 3 :) and no food shopping bought either! We're out of milk (well there's 3ltrs) in freezer but I won't drink that much. Will probably go without as I hardly use any.

Freezer now happily squashed into one, the chest freezer is/has defrosted. And I've a bit of batch cooking to do, to make up a few meals. And must meal plan to scoff the rest whilst the kids are back and before we move.

Should be a few interesting combinations before we leave :) 15 days and counting.....

Need to text chum about rehoming chooks (they will live about 10 doors down in the new street I'm in) so I can visit them......:)

Do a list in a moment...........hope you have a great day!

    Morning pippi

Just wanted to pop in quickly to say hello. It's the 4th day of a holiday club I'm running today. Been going well but glad when it finishes tomorrow as I've been going straight from there to work and hardly seen the baby at all. Luckily DD has been coming with me to holiday club so I've been spending time with her which has been nice. Shattered now though.

Hope you have a quiet ish day off

    :rotfl:Me too lucielle!! :o:o:rotfl:

Wow, you are sooooo busy Pippi, hope you are managing to fit in some chill time at some point! Mind you, when you are packing up the house to move, does mean a lot of activity!!

DS2 starts at uni on Sept 17th, and moving into-halls-day is Sunday the 16th. At least if we forget something, we're only 12 miles away!! :D Got a nice steamer for him @ A!di yesterday and a few more cooking things today at DE Mi!! He is acquiring various bits of crockery etc from our cupboards, so we may need to get ourselves some new bits and pieces...we'll see :D

Off to the N£C tomorrow, it's the biggest quilt festival in Europe (over 4 days), so no doubt will be very busy. Taking the train there and back, cheaper than driving and paying the parking fee, and on the whole, much more relaxing, so win, win!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, hope the rain eases off!!

  • Hey hey nice to see you all. Feebly waves hello.

Sounds like you're all having fun. I'm a bit under the weather so having a bit of enforced chill time.

Catch you all once I'm on the mend. Xxx
