Pippi, a trick my parents use is to get the vet to give the puppy or dog a treat after whatever gets done then they'll give the puppy a treat. Means then you don't end up with a dog that terrified of the vet.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Really shattered today, finally got my pictures finished, and delivered...the glue had just dried before I wrapped themHere is the link to the Sewing Room post.
Think I will take a break from all this sewing...well for a day or two and get my seed sowing sorted...really behind this year Mind you, with this weather, perhaps it's just as well!!
Glad you are getting more wombling hours Pippi, every extra penny comes in useful, especially when you have kids that need things bought for. The problem is trying to fit all the other things you do into your diminishing free days.I am hoping that I will be able to get some sewing done in my new job while playing/practising with all the machines the shop sells...talk about jammy!!!
Still pinching myself about this new job, I can't quite believe I managed to get it!! I am having a trial day next week, so we'll see how things go then.
Right, off to veg out infront of tv and watch a DVD or two..might even do some knitting, trying to get DH's jumper done before I carry on with some samples for the workshop.
Have a lovely Easter everyone xxx

Hey up everyone - tbreak time again!
Well it might be early lunch as I've eaten all of mine.
LT - I know about the banks - horrid when you can't check them!
Uni/Keiss thanks for the puppy advice - the vet had that covered made a fuss and gave him treats - all fine, he weighs a hefty 2kg.
And, came home with free bowl, food, vouchers off chipping and neutring and lots of other freebies - including a huge stash of poop bags (which are free here anyway).
Uni - he's getting on fine with Peedie now - they are even playing a bit when Peedies in the mood!
Keiss you sound so happy in your new job - great you've a trial. Not long now til you're in the frozen north.
And beleive me its cold here. So freezing and wet and damp - bleurgh.
Nearly finished a garden for the 90 to be next week old lady I've rampaged over her rockery. Just need to top dress it with free soil conditioner from our council (half done that) then I'm done.
Preferring my days split between womble/gardening and I finish new wombles hours at 2pm each day so I can do a couple hours gardening if I need/weather permits - which might mean I end up with 3 days off a week and 4 work days! All good.
Mother left today - as to expected but no cross words - they'll hopefully get a safe trip down.
Not spoken to the sprogules who left on Sunday. Rat bags, I've tried and have begun singing to the answering machine.7
Can't keep a good stripey lass down.
I hope you're all good????Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Its cold here too Pippi. Glad Peedie and Haggis are getting on. I'm off today and job-hunting. Haven't dried my hair yet so need to get that dried and going to pick up some lunch, OH's treat. Sounds like you are getting quite organized with your new job setup Pippi. Good you can fit in some gardening after womble work...that'll mean you can have more completely free days...sorted!!
Good to hear the pups are getting on, can't wait to see them both...and the rest of you of course!
Bleurgh to the cold weather being back...not too bad here atm, though the clouds are threatening. Managed to get a fair bit of weeding done this morning, as well as planting the latest apple tree...at last!!! Those that went in last year are looking good - three out of four have lots of flower buds, so maybe we'll actually get apples this year! :j
Been sorting out the conservatory in preparation for all the seeds I plan on sowing this weekend. Found I have a near-empty drawer in my marble-topped kitchen island unit (once a washstand/dresser), so I can ferret away most of my sewing stuff in there, hidden, but easily accessible.
Poor DH is in the wars...he was adding more boards around one of my veggie beds to make it a deep bed, and screwed into his finger with the electric screw-driver!! Not sure if it hit the bone, but he is lying on the settee feeling sorry for himself, the poor thing. He was planning on doing more work on building his new telescope this weekend too, so he's not chuffed. It's the middle finger of his left hand, so hopefully he'll be able to do something in the next day or two.
Have a great weekend everyone xxx

Ouch Keiss that sounds nasty. I'm sure lots of sympathetic noises in his direction will help! Those pictures are fab by the way. You are so talented.
I'll be spending most of this week in the sewing room trying to get my dress finished for Saturday  why do I do it to myself?? Why can't I buy one like other people?? Oh that's right - no money and way too fussy!!!
Pippi - bad children not speaking to mummy! They'll drop the "I don't need to talk to mummy I'm on holiday" act soon enough! Glad things are working well for you work wise. Sounds like you have got it sorted - fitting in your gardening around your wombling. You deserve to be happy.
Up early today as me and kiddies (and my mummy) are off to visit my sister. My mum suddenly has this urge to go see her even though she's home next weekend for my birthday/ baby's baptism. But it will be nice to see her and DD is so excited! She worships the ground my sister walks on!
Best get going. Mam will be here in 10 mins and kiddies are still in bed.

DH much better today, he's walking the dog atm
Thanks for your kind wishes about him.
Up before everyone else to listen to the cricket, and shock horror, England have won!!!
Need to put the washing out, then make some of Pippi's 12 minute scones before getting the fruit loaf in the oven. Having tidied the conservatory yesterday (hooray!), I can set about getting all the plant propagation stuff moved in (a heat pad and a couple of propagators)...then "all" I have to do is sort out which seeds to sow, and sow them. oh rats, I need to wash a few more seed trays first...hate that part!!
Bother, the rain is on...not forecast today, hope it will clear up soon....second load of washing is already on!!
Have a good day everyone xx

Hi all
Keiss - ouch! to OH injury but good to hear he's up and about again - it is a nasty shock when we hurt ourselves / are hurt isn't it?
Pippi - lovely to hear that peedie & haggis are getting along - how lovely :j:j:j Am sure your kids will be in touch soon - i know when i was first going away and had to ring home to confirm i'd arrived safely i'd arrive somewhere with no change for the phones and then the palaver of finding a phone too. All in the days before mobiles and of course now i have a mobi and it doesn't necessarily work abroad anyways x Your work sounds brilliant - 3 days off is lovely i think
Pippi not sure what your work involves but i went to a table-top sale / recycling day - hadn't quite realised as i stumbled across it but they were encouraging people to bring their own containers that they would usually have thrown out - empty butter tubs etc. and they planted up seeds for free and gave out pre-printed instructions for how to care for them. They also had lots of tubs there for people like me who hadn't realisedThe freebies were really food things too - herbs, fruit, lettuce, cress. And for the kids sunflowers. In fact the kids were really enjoying it looking at all the seeds as the packets were opened and selecting containers and helping to plant them. I think the table-top sale made money for the location as people paid for their stalls. Oh and the plant stall also sold some bits of plants and tools too. I got a nice selection of herbs all planted up and now just starting to grow too :T:T:T
Oh those plastic wallets you collect if you don't mond PM'ing me your address i have managed to rescue some so i could pop one in the post and if its what you will use then i will send the rest. Only thing is they had a small sticky label on and i've not been able to get it all off.
unixgirl - good luck on the job hunt - i too am looking for a new job - here things are so thin on the ground - but sending out the positive vibes - the right job is out there and will come along.
starnac - will we get to see pictures of the dress ?
I am enjoying a busy easter weekend - cleaned the whole house, done all the washing, drying and everything moved away, organised getting a quote for a bit of much needed house maintenance and booked in a major house job (luckily i've already put the money for this to one side) done *a bit* of studying, a bit of reading, going to do a bit of crochet, bit of exercise, cooking and been to a fun event and off to a music event as well. So some practical and some jolly things too :TCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
