Offered HTC Sensation XL Mobile on Talkmobile
The other half has been offered an upgrade on her talkmobile contract (which is currently £12 a month for 100mins, 500txts, and 500mb data.... they have offered her the HTC Sensation XL on a £15 a month contract (based over 24 months - apparently it should be £30 a month, but for the next couple of weeks they are offering it for half price (dont know if this is just for existing customer looking at upgrading or not!! - and they guy said the monthly allowance would be 200mins, 1000txts and 500mb data)....
Is it just me, or should we be suspicious of the deal being offered... seems like a great deal on a £500 phone (i know it wont cost them that! but this phone has only been out just over a month.....)..
Regards
Mike

It does look suspicious to me.
I'd ask them to send the offer by a e-mail to avoid 'misunderstanding' that happens far to often over a phone, especially with upgrades that generally don't have a cooling off period.0 -
Very suss.
£499 on Pay As You Go (http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/choose-tariff/HTC-SENSATION-XL/PPAY/NEW), but they'd want 24 months of £15 (£360 total) for the phone AND two years of service?
Maybe he meant the Nokia 3210?0 -
To be honest, doesn't sound too suss to me - I have just taken out an HTC Sensation XE with O2 with free handset and 200 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of data for £21.50 per month over 24 months.
I understand that the XL, although a larger phone, isn't quite as good as the XE specification wise, and O2 can be slightly more expensive than other networks.
As suggested though, get the offer in writing for your own peace of mind but on the face it, if you're happy then no reason to doubt it IMO.0
