Lovefilm Streaming service keeps hanging on Sony TV

I bought a SONY KDL 40EX503 TV a few months ago - one of the reasons was the online support for the Lovefilm streaming service.
However after a good start it now seems to be impossible to watch a film on Lovefilm without it stopping at least 5 times.
iPlayer, YouTube and all the other streaming services work absolutely fine so there is obviously a problem with Lovefilms infrastructure, or the software, which is surprising as it is owned by Amazon.
I'm annoyed that Sony uses Lovefilm to help sell its products, but doesn't insist on some kind of quality of service from them.
Anyway I would suggest you avoid Lovefilm until they can prove it works faultlessly as iplayer for exmaple seems to do.
