handling spare cash in care home

Depends on the home, the council run home my MIL was in used to keep money in a safe, however that closed and she is now in a private care homes (she has Dementia & Alzheimer's) and they do not keep money for them, they just bill us for items she "buys" or hairdressing ect in with the normal bill. You do get to specify how many times they can do certain things as a maximum, (MIL would forget hair has just been done and try and go back same day for it doing again)Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0
