Useless British gas - any ideas - as I am paying nothing

Hi all - just read about BGs £5 fine for late payers.
Its made me worry a bit about my circs.

In short moved to my house in August and there was a British Gas pre paid meter for electric. I got them to remove it and since then they have sent me nothing - no bill no DD form -nothing

I have rung several times and they have failed to sort it out - they have no record of me

So I have thought stuff it - I will earn interest on my cash till they get round to billing - but don't want to be cut off or charged extra for not being on DD

I'm all electric so can't afford to be cut off even for a day

If you really want them to act, send a recorded delivery letter; then you have proof you wrote to them. As you say note the meter reading and bank the money.

They don't cut people off until they have taken several formal actions against you.
