    Someone clearly can't count :D

1 First Direct [Salary & CC]
    2 Nationwide [Debit card transactions]
3 Barclays [Unused now, but I keep it anyway, they might offer something I want in the future, plus its a contactless card if the technology ever gets supported by more than 2 shops in my area],
4 Halifax [Bill payments and free fivers]
    5 co-op [free £200]

6 The new account that you're going to open

and where did I say I wanted to open a new account?
  • I don't think you HAVE to use the pinsetry with Barclays do you, you can get one if you ask but they don't force it upon you. At least I didn't get one for the short period I was with them.

I have both Barclays & Lloyds current A/c and Lloyds win in every way. Better Customer Service, Online Banking, Interest Rates....etc, etc, etc

I also have Halifax & Nationwide Current A/c's and not only are Lloyds also better than these two, Barclays are worse then them.

Infact Barclays don't every come close, apart from Faster Payment compared to Nationwide.

You can login without it, but you can't setup any payments, and they do say they restrict 'other operations'.

FPS wise, I thought Barclays and Nationwide were the same as 10K ?

Last time I tried to make a Faster Payment from my Nationwide A/c it had a limit of £1000, granted this was a few weeks ago and it has to be increased by the beginning of 2012, so may of or will be soon increasing to at least £10,000. Which when this happens will only make Barclays On-line Banking look even worse (if that's possible).

Without a single shadow of a doubt Lloyds TSB beats Barclays.
