Then my cava, cranberry and cointreau coctials, chocs and chilling!

Happy new year! We had a lovely meal last night; I was given some lovely canadian salmon with a lovely box (that is now button box!) so had that with a mushroom and cream sauce with pasta. Lemon tart for pudding which was surprisingly easy and tasted delicious..a bit cracked as should have taken it out of the oven rather than leaving in to cool slowly (as you do with merangue) but was yummy! Watched Northanger Abbey and Mansfield park, friend booked an amazing holiday whale watching (am v jealous as she is going to puffin Island!) so all very exciting but a lovely relaxed eve with cocktail (cointreau, cranberry and cava...yummy!) and chocs...blissful! nothing like spending time with good friends - no need for explanations of things, comfortable silences and just chilling really!
Today will be spent starting my African hexagon stash using blanket which looks ok so far but will take a while to get the hang of! My first blanket for me and am determined not to be sidetracked by doing something for others! At the same time I have G's hand sewn hexagon quilt on the go so both will keep me going for a while!! Must also sort my wool out and hope to flog it all via ravelry as means no ebay fees!
So here's to a debtbustilicious 2012!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Hello sea! Sorry been a bad updater!
Life has been more than a little hectic to say the least; had a horrendous tummy big and was off last week so back to it tomorrow! Only in for a week and am then going to have a gastric bypass to sort my eating out for once and for all! I am excited about it but less so that the NHS turned me down twice for the op and my life is so restricted by my weight that I had to decide to go into more debt to pay for it. Will be worth it though as at the moment am just existing...op is a week Monday so been busy planning etc for it!
otherwise not much to report...debts are coming down and in Nov the main loan is a gonner. How are you?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
