aww hello lovely still here people! Lovely to feel Im not on my own! Last two years have been what a good friend and I call foff years! This year surely must be less agony than the last two...!!
Some good news in that I sold my spinning wheel and made a profit!! yahoo! Just packed it up (a mare to say the least as they are such an odd shape) and it will be collected and done door to door...the packing cost more than the delivery!! It will go off evil cc so thats pretty much gone now...not bad for before Christmas.
Went to Bath today with friends and mum; poor mum had a long epileptic fit last night so was feeling very tired today and is sleeping as I type. We had a potter and lunch and then came back; one friend just had a knee done, mum poorly, me with bad back, other with shoulder pain so we had a laugh!!
Back to work tomorrow for 4 more days and then Im done until 3rd Jan. Next weekend will be spent packing the house up so floors can come up in sitting room and bedroom and soundproofing can be put down...less said the better on this me thinks!
Then on Monday we go to London, via cattery for babies to stay in posh hotel while we are in Italy, before flying to Naples to stay with best mate over Christmas...really, really, really cannot wait. Despite common misconception it will actually be cheaper than staying here as no food etc and no parking to pay...
So there ya go debt busting measures well under way! Next year will be more along the spend less rather than make more way of doing it and also being more organised with lunches etc. We may also have the opportunity to work at home more so that suits me well as also saves on petrol.
Thank you all for your encouragement and welcome...I fear though my friends that I am not cured of my love of shopping as looked gleefully at lots of shops today but was, having said that, good and did not enter and did not return with more than I went for!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! blimey that was a quick sale with your spinning wheel and even better news that you made a profit, that's a nice dent in the CC before your holibobs.0

I missed the start of your new diary

Good luck lovely ISOM- i am sure you WILL DO IT...in fact i know. xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I know I will too Bob but one must wonder whether I will be retired...!! Lovely to see you! Must post your shawl back...after I use it on Friday night! Been relatively good today...work needs to be done on sitting room and bedroom which involves floors being taken up while we are away...this means packing ALL our belongings that are now on the floor so need loads of boxes...was tempted to get them from safestore but was good and asked at m&s and another shop...got loads and saved myself about £50!!
Feeling a bit rubbish today as feel a bit "got at" and wonder whether people will ever let me move on from past events...know its cos Im tired and need the hol but a horrible feeling none the less...had our office lunch today and managed to stay for 1/2 hr as had a meeting; lovely santa pressie of a mug with Isokes piccy on it from when she was a baba! Very cute and a lovely thoughtful present.Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Hello back GHA!!
Well work is now done until 3rd Jan. Had to cry out of works do as was feeling really sick all day so saved some dosh on that! Was sad to miss it though as it was paid for and I was looking forward to it!
Today has been spent clearing out clothes and boxing some stuff up - some to go in the loft and some to be moved while work is done on the flat while we are away.
Cats sense sommat going on but seem not to be too upset by it! Just enjoying Christmas 24 and having a "pottering" day!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
