electricity cut

Last night our electricity was off for a total of three hours due to what I assume was a fault ,I seem to remember something happening to us some years ago and we were able to make a claim for this and we recieved some compensation,does anyone know if this still applies.

I am utterly astounded that anyone would even think of compensation claims after a short power cut of 3 hours, it is winter, the weather can have an effect on power supplies.

It is a poor reflection on society that compensation for every little thing seems to be at the forefront of many peoples minds
