My money saving tip is food related - if you want posh food from M&S but cheaper best time to pop in is around 11am each day; that is when most of the larger stores seem to discount and a lot of the food is freezer friendly.

In other news - the work thing; it looks like I will be going in once every fortnight - but it is a bit insane with freelance projects so I will be asking if I can go onto a 4 day week cycle. I am getting a lot of design project requests which is great!

Also finally getting to a stage where I am getting the blog a lot more streamlined and organised too. Got lots of good things to come this year so I'm just staying positive, happy and trying to be as good to myself as possible. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine wherever you are :))))

glad you are sounding positive and looking to the future.
i have an interview wed for an extra 12hrs will only require extra childcare during school term on a wednesday so happy with that will see if mother inlaw will oblige ,holidays will be trickierbut i will manage.
i need a new car but cc clearance comes first and for me that means extra hours .14 x16=224 a week for 3 weeks on the locum work so if nothing comes up to stop me thats looking good.

10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Everyone

Sorry I've been awol recently. This last few weeks have been pretty disastrous on the money making front. February was a total write off. I've been unwell and totally overloaded with all the paperwork etc involved in my husband's move to the nursing home. He's also been rather poorly too so I haven't been able to focus on any money making schemes. My grocery budget has also gone to pot too.

However I'm going to get back on track now - with this thread to keep me on the straight and narrow. Unfortunately I will have a plumber's bill for £350 today. Hey ho.

Going to do a fridge, freezer and store cupboard inventory and meal plan etc. - gotta get those food bills down in April:o.

£100 extra a week for the next four weeks - not sure - but will try.

Elly - thank you for this challenge. I may have fallen by the wayside but thanks to you lot - I'm feeling inspired to try again. Must be all this lovely sunshine.:)

Elly - Do you know what I do like a bit of Lidl too, but I've been spreading my shopping over M&S (on bargain days mainly), Lidly, and Sainsburys. I've got into cooking again so I've been testing out lots of recipes, and also I've been eating loads of fish lately so that has cut down on my shopping bill a lot. I don't seem to make a lot of meat dishes anymore.

Good luck with the job interview - I guess all you can do is wait and see how it works when you get it. Sometimes the things I worry about seem to take care of themselves on their own, so don't worry about the holidays just yet. I'm sure you'll find a way when it comes up x

Lessonlearned - so sorry to hear about you husband, and what a difficult time that you are having at the moment. Given the circumstances the most important thing is being good to yourself, money making pretty much goes out of the window. Anyway, hope that it is all up from here for you!

Got a ville request again xxx
