The DG834G is well known as being a bad router, it's useless for p2p. http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_routers A lot of people have reported that they do drop connections, and often need rebooting. Had the same problem with mine.0 -
If you are thinking of a laptop John Lewis are doing a good range of toshiba A100 033 for £499 also it has a two year guarantee which other retailers don't have also if you buy through quidco you have a extra saving.:beer:0

Make sure you have the latest firmware from Netgear. I had quite a few problems with one or two of their firmware levels. Its been fairly stable for a couple of years now.0 -
