more supermarkets need to stock quality pet food !

Options
from what i can see asda and morrisons are the only supermarkets that actually stock high quality and high percentage meat content in cat food, such as feline fayre and hi life

other than this, my only other option is pets at home which is out of my way where as tesco having the complete monopoly of locations, there are five within half an hours walk at the furthest to me and none of them stock what i want !

all these supermarket premium or finest ranges are low in meat content also and the big name brands on offer are a false economy because of the low meat content, you end up feeding your cat more

i want high meat content cat food, wet and dry foods more readily available in the supermarkets and consider it a good investment / buying move in stocking it, thanks

I find steak has a high meat content...

    ;)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

What you want or need has no bearing on what supermarkets stock at the end of the day. They stock what sells.

Really? My old cat used to love raw meat (especially stewing streak for some reason)

why not cook the raw meat for your cat?
Im sure something you cook at home will be far superior to any tinned food.

Because cooking decreases the nutritional value of the meat.

How long did you take to transition them over? Cats are fussy sods and often don't know what's good for them, but a very slow transition usually helps. It took me 6 months to move one of my queens onto a raw diet... there's a raw feeding yahoo group called rawcat which is really good - you should join them for some advice and support :)

Try online. I use http://www.gjwtitmuss.co.uk/ for dog food.

I buy Skinners which is a premium quality food, it's cheaper than the rubbish in the supermarkets and I get it delivered to my door for free :money:
Here I go again on my own....
