E2SAVE - WHY 10p a minute to call them?

My mother has had a random email from e2Save, thanking her for her order for the following:
- iPhone (FREE - wow!!) but £35 a month contract
- PLUS: 1 Month FREE Insurance (£9.99 pm thereafter, can be cancelled) - PLUS: VIP Gadget Helpline and Identity Protection FREE for 1 month (£4.95 a month thereafter, can be cancelled)
NOW, she has NOT made any orders at all and certainly has not given anyone any details to initiate such an order.
Subsequently, another email has been sent requesting that she calls their sales line (an 0871 number) to discuss her order. This is the ONLY method of contact with E2Save, no email or online chat. The calls cost 10p per minute!!!!!!! Worse still, when you get through, a message says that the wait (now this happened over 6 times at different times of day) that the wait is (on average) around 10-12 minutes!
Is this some sort of scam? They claim to be part of Carphone Warehouse too!
Any knowledge / info on them would be appreciated!
