Well I received a reply from LR today with an apology for the poor level of service that I had received and they have cancelled my order so I wont have to pay the delivery charge. Now thats more like the customer service I should have got in the first place, why do we have to complain in order to get a reasonable level of service?
At least its sorted now0 -

You probably just got somebody on a bad day -- it's not professional, it's not right, but unfortunately we're all human and sometimes our mood (whether it was meant to or not) can be reflected in our tone of voice. Yes peoples person problems should not affect their ability to do their job, unfortunately it's easier said than done.
Saying that, I do agree it shouldn't have happened and they should (are?) trained to deal with customers appropriately & effectively!
But as they say, alls well that ends well (or something to that effect)

Wish I had looked on here first!
Ordered sale items for first time in Jan, I received email that goods were ready for dispatch, then nothing until email saying thank you for your return! I have been told now that they tried to deliver twice at home address ( I put delivery address as work but they don't deliver to businesses apparently) but no card was left so how am I supposed to know this? I have had to pay delivery for something I never received.
Annoyed as used to shop in a La Redoute store when I lived in France but if they can't deliver to another address I will never be in to receive the parcels.0
