Pap, honestly, you have nothing to worry about. If I totted up what we had saved and then splurged over the years, it would not be a pretty picture at all....I would guess that it's at least 10x what yours is!

You are a superstar and one day I WILL convince you to go easier on yourself! :)

  • awww snaggles you are so sweet. Well i have made sure i cant get to anything this time because its a locked account untill september :rotfl: Its silly really because if i save £9 but spend £1 i always think i am a faliure when infact its a drop in the ocean compared to what i saved. I am looking at being more positive though. So even though i am planing on spending £15 ish now i have to think i payed off £90 of my own debt this month and added £50 to savings (once they take this last payment) not to mention getting through xmas buying mums borthday gift and buying my camera i never thought i would have. I guess i have to start thinking more positive, starting with this diray i guess. So each time i mention something bad/negative i will back it up with a positive :o well thats the plan :rotfl:

That's a great plan. If you start thinking in terms of 'I only spent £1' instead of 'I only saved £9', you will feel much better about things, I'm sure. :D :T

  • yes definatley... well thats it i now have everything i could every need for this circle journal and a few extras... managed to get 44 items for £16.40 incuding p&p i got lots of bargains though, things that were online for £5 were only 18p in this shop  the only difference is one is branded. Also managed to get shrink plastic (the stuff you put in the oven) for 70p per sheet rather than £3 ~ very money saving i thought :rotfl:

This then leaves me with just over £6 which i will pay off to argos card on the 15th with my other payments :j

Hi sf, well i was doing fine but i seem to have a bug just now. Been quite sick so i have had to cancel my driving lesson, not good money wise but safer for other road users. ebay up to £7.23 not loads but ok so far... need to make £10.56 to pay my fees so fingers crossed. However the bulky things aren't selling but have watchers so you never know  my brothers given me his £10 bed money so that has to go into the bank ready to pay Argos on the 15th so i will try and do that next week. Halifax have finally decided to take the savings standing order today :jso i can adjust my sig... only two more bills to pay for this month :D

    how are you?

Thanks gem, yes not too bad. My 0% ends the 14th of may. So 4 months really so thats only £33 per month. But my plan is £90 this payday and the rest feb. The stuff i am ebaying now i am putting it all in my savings account and using it in the Olympic challenge. Decided this test will be my last driving test, i will pass but if i don't i wont be doing any more. Its too much money and i am sick of driving now. so my soa for jan is £434.00 (and thats with the debt repayment, weekly spends and £50 savings) but my bus cards have gone up now so thats a bummer. So looking at just the basic wage from last month (£791.40) and not taking into account the overtime i did i should have £357.40 left. I have not decided what will come out of that yet because i have Birmingham the Saturday after payday. While up there i will need some sort of evening meal, breakfast and snacks for the journey home plus whatever else i need ie drinks and of course a bit of shopping Sunday morning. Aiming for under £150.00 though which will leave me £200 + overtime to save :j Also i am following on from another poster and this payday i will write down everything i spend and on what to see the total amounts come this time next year.

Ohhh and also on a positive note ;) i have found out what used to be the old bnq across the road from where i work there will be a tesco and primark built (provisionally) so i think i will apply to either or. I think tesco pay 7p less than where i am now but i can live with that :D

Sounds positive PaP - Good Luck.
