i did test here on IE6 on windows and firefox and it seemed fine... are you by any chance on a mac? or using an older version of IE?
it would REALLY help if you could also tell me the following:
from the help -> about microsoft internet explorer menu, what version is it?
when you see the orange triangle with the error message, please double click it. if will contain the details of the script error, eg 'error on line 1, object expected' etc.

grand! appreciate this. heh, the reason why we were not getting the error here is because we all have the cookie since we all collapse some bit or another but if you have never used this on the forums before, the cookie will be 'null'
