The exact same thing has happened to me. I ordered a samsung laptop on geek depot for a christmas present. I then went to check the website and tried to track it, but both of the websites no longer existed. We also phoned geek depot, but we had to leave a message and the other time the woman said that she couldnt get in contact with anyone from the company. Luckily, we payed over paypal, so hopefully will be able to claim our money back so I can get another laptop and not be scammed again by these disgusting fraudsters! It makes me feel ill to think people would steal other peoples money over the christmas period, especially when we are spending a good four hundred pounds. But i am so thankful that we can get our money back so at least these horrid people know that we have found them out and that they are not prevailing. So glad to know other people are having this problem, and I would fully reccomend repoting to police.
hope everyone has a merry christmas and gets their money rightfully back!!!0 -
Partner also purchased a laptop from geekdepot (£70 cheaper than pc world, seemed too good to be true at the time.) it still has yet to arrive (the chances of which are very slim) our tracking number also works on the aurum parcel site and says delivery will be the 15th Dec (its now the 20th!!!) on closer inspection of the aurum parcel site they have copied and pasted most of the site directly from yodel's own site (wish i knew how to report this!!!), even forgetting to change the name from yodel in places and even still referring to themselves as advectus in another. Luckily we paid via paypal, so we are hoping our money will be safely returned.0
