Halifax are more lenient - they allow you to pay in at any time up until midnight.
It is very surprising that two people on this thread have reported being charged despite their account being in credit by this time. They should easily be able to get the charge reversed though (if it's worth their time), since midnight is the only time that counts for charges.0 -
Will they change my current to a reward account if I ask them ?0

But there isn't any point as I don't put in £1000 per month. Nowhere near.0

Do you put in £500 ? If so, put it in, take it out and then put it back in again, then you have met the conditions of £1000 deposit0

But there isn't any point as I don't put in £1000 per month. Nowhere near.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Oh right. In that case I will but I will have to do this from my business account. Won't they see your playing their system ?0

Look at your on line statement to check when did the money was booked. If it is the same day with the date then you should not be charged.
The charge is automatically programmed. It might happen in your case the money was booked on following date.
As I did it on the same day, is it worth me contacting them for a refund? I could tell them I will close my account if they don't.0 -
No, it's a day later but I remember doing it the day it went into overdraft. Anyway, I have now got a reward account set up thanks to you folks :-)0
