Does any know my rights in this matter.
I bought a shirt yesterday from a local shop size says XXL when he's tried it on at home it's more a medium. We've measured it against another new shirt size XL and it's 2 inches narrower. The receipt says no refunds only credit notes. Statutory rights not affected.september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.

I do occasionally but CL is a bit too far on 2 wheels. Thanks locarr for taking the time to find the information on the accident it did sound serious from the early reports I heard so stayed away. Definitely not good news.

Well the shirt labelling is clearly faulty. I'd go back and see if the other xxls are the same size (may just be a one-off error). If they are then ask for a refund as the goods are not fit for purpose. If the shop gets a bit @rsey about this then you could quote the Sale of Goods act as goods need to be AS DESCRIBED, and this shirt clearly is not.
Statutory rights include getting a refund on faulty goods, so the shop is having you on if they try to just offer a credit note/exchange and need reporting to Trading Standards.
It's only a game

before going back, scrutinise it. if there is any flaws in the stitching or fabric that would be grounds to demand a refund quoting the sog act. different items are sized differently, dh bought 2 xl tees from gap - one fits lovely, the other wont even fit over my 7.5month preg belly comfortably....the difference between comfort fit and skinny fit unfortunately....Bootsalebargains wrote: »Does any know my rights in this matter.

All the CDM has disappeared at b@@mth - lots there on Friday and I only took 2 bars and left boxes and boxes. Some greedy guts taken the rest - left a dormant nut in the space as a secret message to any msers who took it that I wasn't happy!0

:)Morning everyone, everything is getting in the way of catching up at the moment;) so have taken to skim reading and apologies for not pressing the thanks button but will do as soon as I get time:oTomorrow I have not smoked for 5 whole weeks so will start updating my no smoking journey on a weekly basis. How did it happen? it was mostly thanks to you lovely lot helping me along. I still cannot believe I've done it and am so pleased. It hasnt all been easy and I've had the odd day when I've struggled but not given in. Even when I've stopped before I've had the odd puff and have never managed this long without cheating, so thank you to everyone who's helped me:T:T:T Right off to T's to do some normal shopping in my lovely clean, nice smelling (Thanks to T's smilie freshener) car. Going to a T's with no scanner so don't hold out much chance of picking up to much but never know;)
Big cyber hugs to everyone who needs them:) and MMW hope you are starting to feel better:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
