Think me and Ron (bacardi) will have to cool our relationship for a while:beer:. Was seriously in stitches reading the banter, certainly made me feel better.....oh and my DS came home from uni :T:T though his flight was delayed for almost 2 hours  He wants me to teach him some MSE skills while he's home since seeing my stash courtesy of you lot so think we have another convert :T:heart2:Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.:heart2:0

down is up, once you hit the floor there is only one way. thanks for sharing, u no its what i love about peeps here, honestly about real stuff in real lives, on fb peeps make up bullsh2t to make themselves appear in a different light, not so here, blood, guts, puke and reality.
the only way is essex, MOVE OVER, the only way is mse, keeping it real.
love n hugs
:kisses:Thanks frequent, although I think the floor is still quite far below me, so will be a while before I hit it and can bounce back up, but I know I'll get there eventuallywhy is it that everything always seems to come at once, lol
Your so right though, this thread is the only thing that keeps me sane sometimes, and even when I've no time to post, I love reading about everyone's antics and all the jokes
I feel we are just like one big cyber family and that's just the way I like it

Hiya hun - the problem for my friend is that her bones are 'like cardboard' according to her specialists, with her rhuematoid arthritis and 'newly discovered' osteoporosis so they say that there is nothing to knit into, if you see what I mean. So I am not sure if it is possible to have the same type of op
I am so sorry to hear about the infection/ulcer on your Dad's leg and how the nurse dealt with the news that an amputation may be necessary. I can empathise with you on this. After my Mam was in hospital for 3 weeks last October, one of her doctors kept telling us that she was 'at the end of her life' when discusssing her situation with us, in front of her!! They would not explore her problem as she was at the end of her life and if they did, they would not operate as she was at the end of her life, etc. Luckily, Mam had 'switched off' by then and was not listening , but it was so hard to hear him say thatand they just said that she was going into a home. We didn't know it was palliative care until we were being shown around and one of the carers commented on it being an end-of-life unit
Docs & nurses assume so much - they assume that you already know what they are telling you, assume that you understand what they are saying, assume that you will accept what they say, and assume that it will not upset you
Sorry for the ranting ........................... wine got to me
Rant as long as you want
Sorry to here that you friends bones have deteriated so much. I expect you have already done this, but it's always worth a second opinion just in case. They originally told my dad he could only have a fixed knee replacement until he got a second opinion from a more experienced surgeon, who agreed to the hinged joint. Just a thought, you never know
That's terrible what happened to your mum, I'm just glad she didn't know what they were saying.
I just don't understand why some doctors and nurses are so despondent and nasty
My dad has been really lucky to have some wonderful doctors and nurses caring for him, but has also had the misfortune of some really evil ones, and I don't say that in jest, some have been down right cruel to him. I'm just glad of the really nice ones there are, that really care about their patients and the job really means something to them, those are all :A in my eyes.
It's never an easy time when my dad has to go into hospital (he has been there quite a few times over the years). The first problem we always have to solve is them feeding him. He has an allergy to wheat, but they have such a huge problem grasping that and it's always a battle. They either end up giving him just salad for every meal or not feeding him at all, so that we have to take in food
Whoops now I'm the one thats rantingsorry.
Looks like i'm turning the lights off tonight. Won't be putting the cat out though, as I'm keeping it with me for company and some cuddles
