    Quite a good idea that!
Well, you got two cards more than me.

I'm Billy no mates, nice to meet you Norma no mates.

There's a lot to be said for not having friends. I actually prefer it that way. Nobody to fcuk you over, use you, stab you in the back etc etc.

Nice to meet you Billy! TBH I would miss my friends if they really went away but right now sooooo many of them are getting on my juggernauts!!

  • Just reporting in from W£st D*rrin$t*n, they have finally got MINGLES in stock!!! SEL £4 but scan £1.01!

We also have the £1.27 Japanese Tatami air freshners in which im really pleased about as I use loads of them as they are my favourite.

I didnt notice any Splendas, but that may have been as I was looking at Canderel instead (durr!)!

Whilst near the sugar section I noticed a fellow friend of Martin (the same lady I spoke to about OEP on Friday afternoon), sorry I didnt get a chance to say hi, but I saw you looking at Splenda and Clip Strips in the wine aisle! I did look for you after I had scanned the Mingles to let you know but couldnt see you after that!!!

Oh and I also looked for the cheap 600g Thorntons but couldnt see any.

Have a good evening everyone x

  • Evening all, hugs, good luck, festive wishes, snoggs etc. to all that need them. Gonna read back later but for now just wanted to say a big hello and hope you are all feeling Christmassy.

OH gone for a walk with the kids so I am sitting in the dark with the TV on, colour change candles on the go, glass of dram. and glass of red wine (for when I finish the dram).

Managed to get a spot of bargain hunting in today. Got trouted with a strip of sweeteners (gutted as OH is diabetic and we are running low). Did manage to get some super glue for 10p, some white with silver dots wrapping paper for 5p, a daddy keyring for 4p (promised to another MSEer), pack of 3 dehumidifer sachets (ideal as we have a leak in the bathroom that has caused a lot of damage which will be recitfied in the New Year). If anyone wants more details please let me know. In the mean time, gonna kick back, get sloshed and enjoy the start of the Chrismas holidays (now that OH and Kids home).

Kadison I live on my own and always spend Christmas on my own, I don't feel the need to suddenly surround myself with people just because it's Christmas but this week I got the most dreadful pitying look from someone I've known about 6 years...."don't you want to spend it with other people?" pity,pity...I could have punched him.

I do agree it's more of an occasion if you have kids but give me a break lol!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I am FINE spending xmas on my own, I live alone, it's just a flamin' day! But no-one believes I don't care very much.

What I care about is being made to explain myself on any level, mind you that's over anything I do that people can't understand, like how I go on two holidays a year alone and don't get lonely (excepting the first two days when I'm tired/haven't got everything the way I want it yet).

I love the peace of xmas day, it's so nice having a day when the roads are really quiet, all the shops (save some little offies) are shut, you know everyone's got a roast in the oven. Then it hits 2/3pm, everyone's finished opening presents and finished dinner so they all come online and it's like every other day hahahaha!

I'm having a good day thank you! :jMy chest isn't too bad and I managed to sleep in this morning:D Just managed to take my doggies on a short walk and it was lovely to get some fresh air, I did make sure I wrapped up warm though! It's just frustrating that everything is so tiring!

    How's your chest/arm/leg?? :A

What a helpful post! No scanner in my local, so I am mostly guessing when getting stuff (and playing dumb when it is expensive!). Was the super glue on the clip strip? (saw loads yesterday and wondered..!) and please how much were the dehumidifier sachets.. OH spent the day rescuing 'stuff' from what used to be a shed!

Think it's time for a cup of green tea :rotfl:
