There IS a funny story about OH and tights though.... he will go mad if he knows ive told anyone......but......
One day last year, he was really cold after work.. he worked outside. When he came home, his legs were blue and his knees were in agony.... now, he suffers with his knees anyway... so the cold weather only made it worse..... so..... I went and got him a pair of XL thick tights..... took me aaaages to convince him to wear them, but one day when he came home in agony and nearly in tears with the pain again... he said he would 'give them a try' tomorrow...
so the next day.. off he went to work, with thick black tights on under his work jeans.....
That day, he fell and broke his arm... had to go to A&E..... had to have an xray, pain killers, morphine etc for the pain.... in all the commotion he forgot all about the tights.. but he couldnt get undressed himself... so the nurse assisted him..........
I still remind him of this quite often...... wish i was there at the time.... he has never forgiven me for this though.... hehehe...
This reminds me of my OH, the story is im really funny about new shoes and absolutely hate having to wear something that i don't find comfortable when i put them on - i know most people say they will be alright when you wear them in, but not me. So i had bought "another" pair of shoes, i needed a pair of black high heel court shoes to wear with my suit for a job interview i was going for, i got them home and put them back on to show my OH and within five minutes my feet were killing me again, so i said to him jokingly "you put them on and wear them in for me" (both size 7 feet) so he put them on - all good, about half an hour later he went upstairs for a shower. In the meantime his boss who is also his friend turned up to see him, so i made him a coffee and we sat in the kitchen chatting whilst he waited for my OH to get out of the shower. My OH then walks into the kitchen in just his boxers and my shoes!!! he tried to explain it but just made things worse as he was also getting tongue tied as was so embarrassed to this day he has never lived it down and his boss takes great delight in taking the pi ss lolVery proud to be Strip club member No 430 -

Motorcycle couriers have been known to wear thick tights too. I think its actually quite widely accepted that outdoor workers wear them but its probably not freely admitted to.0 -

*** wishes she could have pretty little oil burners and fancy string balls in a glass bowl on a posh coffee table... but instead.... has a knitted nativity scene, a cold cup of coffee, a crayon and a half eaten cookie.....*****
my picture only looks tidy thanks to a clever manoeuvre of 'move the laundry out of the shot of the camera'
I've a 6 year old and a 2.5 year old so I get cha!!;) my house is lived in. As long as it is clean and I have places to put things I am not overly fussed. Again for me it goes back to not really caring what people think of me. ( I know I moved the clothes because didn't wanna show off me knickers---not been seen in public for many a year now!!)0 -
