I'm afraid it i think it is an express store. There is no extra in G$ring, unless it was meant to be W£st D?*rington?

Yes, sorry, EXPRESS in G@ring  but there was only 2 bottles there. Although there are about another 7 express stores in W@rthing, maybe some more around these?

    Thanks:D

The Clementines I get from asda are ALWAYS sour so I stopped buying them. They almost put my kids off eating all together. I got my last few lots from Lidls and they were lovely. Most of my veg I get from there as it is always gorgeous and cheap. Even their British potatoes at 79p per 2.5 kilos makes gorgeous fluffy mash ( which I freeeze plain and are perfect for roasties.

But the trick with oranges, Clementines, satsumas is to smell them. If they they don't smell sweet they will taste rank. If they don't smell at all....you are taking chances...they could be o.k but will never be awesome. I always sniff them. I know I look a fool, but I have long since stop caring what others think of me...and to be honest I would rather look a fool and have nice satsumas or Clementines then to not bother and waste my money on horrible ones.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that!

i completely agree with what you're saying.

i've got a question to ask; does anyone pick and taste a grape before buying a bag?

    :o

I never used to but I got sick of the pot-luck sweetness, so now I do!

Me and the OH having a drink with music on having a laugh on here tonight lol.

I seen a few people in riverside with the toy list we made lol which was very lol. Came across a few msers but not sure if posters or not as didnt really speak for long.

In S0uth road i usual just use the clothing one. then in R1verside the one at the tolietries and the one near the freezer isle.

TBH ive not even noticed one in a bakery isle lol.

I've only noticed two scanners in R1versid3, and that's the two you mentioned. The one by the freezer is easy enough to find, as for the other, its pretty well hidden unless you know about it.

S0uthr0ad has three scanners, one in the bakery / pots and pans aisle (wasn't working the last time I was in). The second in with the clothing, the third in the meat aisle but fridge section about half way down.

cant believe how tidy peoples houses are..... with 2 kids, and one on the way, plus just moved house - My house look slike a bomb site......

no kids, none on the way, not moving house but christmas baking has turned my kitchen into a war zone!! There is no space in the cupboards thanks to pickled onions and basmati rice, and the usual stuff. There is no space on the worktops thanks to freshly iced cakes drying out, mince pies on cooling racks, bottles for vodka, mincemeat for more mince pies, traybake things for traybake things and god knows what else

    You arent alone :o

Thought I found the 'key' to reduced items when I saw a SEL with a * but unfortunately it still scanned at full price, will keep trying...

It's unfortunately no guarantee to be cheaper than SEL. I've had several interpretations of what it means from Tesco floor staff. All seem to agree that it is end of line/discontinued stock but who it's for the benefit of I don't know. One version says that it tells shelf restockers that limited stock available and once cleared the shelf does not need to be restocked. Other versions say that if the stock isn't shifted by a certain date the price will reduce or manually needs to go RTC.

All we can be certain of is that it could at some stage go cheaper. I have however noticed that certain stock can keep the asterisk for months and then it dissappears. Hopefully, at some stage, we may get chapter and verse from someone who actually knows.

Does anyone on here that has worked in retail know whether other retailers have a similar system?
