cosmic-dust wrote: »YOUR COMPLAINT RE: TESCO STORES LTD
We have now reviewed your complaint having liaised with the advertiser.
In their response, they stated that The Price News leaflet was correct. However, the promotion was cancelled by mistake on Tesco's IT systems. There was a 2 day period when the products were scanning at the tills at the higher price. However, customers were charged the lower price in store or offered double the difference if they were charged the higher price.
Therefore, as Tesco were charging the lower price or offering double the difference during the two days the promotion was not registered on their IT system, we believe that no further action needs to be taken.
We would like to thank you for contacting the ASA and hope you are satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
Kind Regards

Except Tesco didn't always offer DTD, did they!
But this does back up what I've said many times. DTD probably won;t end despite some abuse of it because Tesco make far more from people who just swallow the overcharge and their scheme earns them brownie points with the ASA and trading standards!
I could of course be wrong, but its how I see it anyway.0 -
I've just been to W£st D*rringt*n this evening and met one of Martins friends
I can confirm the OEP glitch is still working (3 different types of discounts coming off). I nearly got caught though, felt so sick at SS as the lady came over and asked 'is there a deal on OEP as yourself and another lady are buying a lot this evening'. I tried to be blase and said 'just the 3 for 2', she said 'Ok well i'll just hover'....
I felt ill, i couldnt scan quickly enough, when the total came up it was £69 and went down to £4.55!!! She said 'wow, that much came off, that was good', my hands were shaking when i was putting my £5 note in the machine and I literally ran out of there with my husband and son as she went straight to another SA and I heard her say something about OEP deal.....
I doubt it will be working in my store after that, I hope the other lady got through ok without being caught as I think they were onto the glitch!Nov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails)

I've read through this thread and am trying to work out what this strip club is, if I replace all my clothes with strategically and tastefully placed OEP sachets and photo myself (sans identifiable head) will that count and get me on the list?
Also with some of these glitches I'm seriously starting to wonder if someone at HO is peeved and doing it on purpose, wouldn't be hard to do if you had the right access. If you think this could be correct wave your hands in the air, person who waves most creatively wins a prize (and it's not a photo of me!!).
Most of Tesco's IT is now outsourced in India, I used to work at the IT Dept in Cheshunt 10-12 years ago.."He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin
