just take the items off the clip strip - pay for them.. but leave the empty clip strip in your trolley...then re attach.

How about putting an empy clip strip in the bottom of your trolley with your shopping and then just putting the "rubbish" from the trolley in the boot with your shopping - or would that be classed as cheating?
