Hi DonnySaver, I commend your patience. I would have started E.on's formal complaints procedure long ago and referred the complaint to the Energy Ombudsman after 8 weeks without resolution.

If Amy doesn't get a result pdq then I would suggest you do the same.

Let us know how you get on, either way.

There was a bit of tit-for-tat going on between EDF (my new provider) and E.ON over meter readings supposedly. One would say they were disputing it and then the other would dispute it back etc etc.

Seeing as EDF was the driving force in the transfer, most of my complaint was with them. I'd given them several warnings that if it wasn't sorted then I was going to the Energy Ombudsman. I'd set them a target date and was within 1 week of contacting the Energy Ombudsman. All of a sudden, the "dispute" is resolved.

To be fair to Amy (E.ON rep), she's come on here, seen my problem regarding E.ON still holding my money and has sent out a cheque to me today. So WELL DONE to her. Shame not everyone at these energy companies is as efficient as her!

One of the common themes is that customer opening reads are almost always rejected by EDF. This causes an estimated opening read which in my experience is way out.

Is this another system weakness in EDF's catalogue?

    Hi DonnySaver,

Really sorry about this, is there anything I can help with?

    Amy:)

An hour or two wandering around all the call centers and offices including managers of whatever level, gripping the back of their necks and banging their heads on the desk in time to the tune of............This Is Just Not Good E Nough ( two bangs there for emphasis ). ;) :rotfl:
  • I would just like to know why it took over 3 months to register my account when I started on OnlineSaver7 last December? Having looked back through my bills I saw that I was on the Standard tariff for all this time. This means the 12/13 month tariff I signed up for is only really for 9/10 months!! I can't believe that this isn't back dated.

Also, they've just put my DD up because I was £115 in debit on the Gas bill. I was also credit for £120 on the electricity. The day after they combined my accounts to one so I was about £5 in credit, but with a DD up from £65 to £103 a month!!!

    Very sneaky on both counts!!
  • Smoggie69 - you have posted this message in another thread - once is enough!

Advice provided on the other thread. Claim back the overcharge of standard billing. Refer this to EDf Forum Rep, who dealt with this issue at the time for my account and many others.
  • Anyone else have trouble transferring their gas, particularly, to EDF? my transfer started in July, still waiting for gas to be finalised. Various members of my family also had exactly the same issue, and EDF blame TransCo as far as I can tell...

    anyone know anything?
    Friendly greeting!

The EDF Rep should be able to advise or look into your case.

We have seen lots of similar problems particularly with gas account set up,Direct Debit not set up for gas and meter reading input and reconciliation problems.
