Virgin Mobile Problems - what to do?

The Direct Debit guarantee states that
However, the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme ensures that if a payment is made wrongly under a direct debit, the consumer is entitled to receive a refund from their bank - even if the fault lay with the mandate holder rather than with the bank itself. see http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/82/82-automatic-payments.htm
So every time they charge the wrong amount - and your multiple credit refunds prove they have made errors, get straight on to your bank, quote the above and demand that the Direct Debit is returned immediately.0 -
I have been having the same problem with VM, I have phoned them at least once a month for the past 6 months regarding my discount, I also said I wanted to cancel the contract, but it would cost me £270 to do so, after sending them 3 emails almost a month ago they replied yesterday saying that they know there's a problem, they are working hard to resolve the issue, though currently there is no confirmed fix date. I have written back to Annette Chadwick saying this is totally unacceptable, what can i do? If I stop my direct debit, can they black list me and take me to court? I can't bare the thoughts of going on like this another 18 months0

Having just read this and experience exactly the same problems in the last few months, would like to know if you have got this sorted? I am still having problems with them, despite having supposedly cancelled the contract (the 'contract' which i never agreed too as it was meant to be a monthly rollover...no contract!). Last month they overcharged me by £20 and i am still waiting for the refund! Despite having 'cancelled' it again looks as though they will be billing me this month, how do i get all this money back!!! The call staff do not understand me and i don't understand them as they do not speak good english!!!
I hope you have got it sorted.....please let me know how!!!
Thanks
