Buy another.
The "life" of any such item is based on the MTBF (mean time between failure) or, in everyday English, the average time the thing is supposed to last.
Of course, that means that some lucky so and so has bought a bulb which will last them 20 years.

Go back to whoever sold them to you, and ask for a refund.
Remember that they can reduce that refund to take account of the use you have had. That reduction won't be linear.
I'll leave you to decide whether it's worth it.0 -

Over 12 hours and no-ones appeared yet to say that low energy bulbs dont save energy / are forced on us by the government / give them a headache / aren't environmentally friendly / are the spawn of satan (delete as appropriate).
I'm amazed.0 -
I'm curious - how don't they save energy?0

They do but there are some members of the flat earth society who might claim that not only don't they save but they also report back to mission control on the habits of the users.0 -
Ah.... Got it0

I think the argument is they use a lot more in production than traditional bulbs did.
That is they may save you energy but they do not save energy overall.
Or indeed use more.
Though they still save the user energy use.
Or something like that.0 -
That's ok, I'm big on saving electricity bills but couldn't give a hoot about the wider world0

Low energy bulbs, i.e compact fluorescent lignthbulbs, will fail prematurely if they are used in an enclosed luminaire."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
