Sorry to hear that, I hope you find something else soon. At least there's the big new shopping centre opening soon?0 -
Our store is still open and I went in today to use up the vouchers that I had got for Christmas for my granddaughter. They would only accept half payment with vouchers and I had to pay the rest in cash. I wasn't impressed. These vouchers have already been paid for so why shouldn't I be able to redeem them against the stuff in the store, I wasn't very happy I can tell you.:mad:0

Tell me about it, I was told that they were going into administration yesterday, just come back from going there to spend our vouchers, to be told that they are only worth half the value and to get £25 off I would have to spend £50 and pay £25, I am outraged, the company have had the money for the vouchers, there fore its a scam to get us to pay money into the business which we need not do. I am really angry now, and wish I had said I dont want the things so I did not give the company more money. I would really love to know where we stand with this, and was hoping some way that Martin might find out about this and let us know, I got the details of the administration company as I do not think it is right that we had to pay money when we had vouchers.:mad:0

If they are in administration they don't have to give you a single penny for the vouchers, so they are actually giving you 50% discount on the clothes and not getting the money for them (not that they will be getting any of the money, the administrators will be). If you write to the administrators you risk having to cough up the other 50% in cash or being taken to court, as if they are at this stage the company are no longer running things and the administrators will be contracted to save as much cash as possible to give to the creditors (eg the people who made the clothes, the people who own the premises, wages for the staff).
It's not a scam, it's just what's happening with the recession (that we are *not* out of despite what the bank says). Martin has been saying for ages and ages DO NOT GIVE/BUY VOUCHERS. And if you are given any, spend them *immediately*Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
