Tum tee tum, my daughter is doing my head in!

She's upstairs singing her heart out. X Factor stylee. Loudly and with gusto. Some songs are chart stuff, some are from this year's school xmas show. If she feels she hasn't got it 'just right', she starts again.

I'm happy she's of the frame of mind she feels able to sing. But I'm having to forcibly sit here and not yell shut up at the top of my lungs. :o This house has paper thin walls and ceilings and no insulation to speak of. It's like she's sat on my knee singing!

Yes I know. Very trivial in the whole scheme of things. But I'm trying to watch Beethoven's Christmas Adventure. :o:rotfl:

I feel your pain aliasojo, my DD is currently 'tidying' her bedroom accompanied by the sound track of tuneless singing and heavy footed stomping. Last Christmas anyone? My lounge lights are bouncing around in time :(. DH has just gone to have a word now!

I have some cordless headphones that I use once OH goes to bed, they are brilliant, tell her to buy you some for Christmas (early)

I second this, I had some too and they were worth their weight in gold over the years!

I love my music but I live next door to some old folk who don't like loud noises so I find that bluetooth headphones are a godsend. I can enjoy my music, they don't get inconvenienced by it.
