She's upstairs singing her heart out. X Factor stylee. Loudly and with gusto. Some songs are chart stuff, some are from this year's school xmas show. If she feels she hasn't got it 'just right', she starts again.
I'm happy she's of the frame of mind she feels able to sing. But I'm having to forcibly sit here and not yell shut up at the top of my lungs.
This house has paper thin walls and ceilings and no insulation to speak of. It's like she's sat on my knee singing!
Yes I know. Very trivial in the whole scheme of things. But I'm trying to watch Beethoven's Christmas Adventure.

Or even worse...tap dancing! Or learning to play the trumpet/violin/drums... lol0 -
I feel your pain aliasojo, my DD is currently 'tidying' her bedroom accompanied by the sound track of tuneless singing and heavy footed stomping. Last Christmas anyone? My lounge lights are bouncing around in time

Semi-detached house? Phone your neighbours and ask them to pop round to complain about the noise!0

I second this, I had some too and they were worth their weight in gold over the years!I have some cordless headphones that I use once OH goes to bed, they are brilliant, tell her to buy you some for Christmas (early)I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

I love my music but I live next door to some old folk who don't like loud noises so I find that bluetooth headphones are a godsend. I can enjoy my music, they don't get inconvenienced by it.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”
