Have you sent a message to mennie? If you have then your name should be added soon - maybe mennie has been busy trying to catch up on conquering this challenge:D

    Morning all

Just PM'd mennie with my Feb total. £200.66 - not bad I think. No idea how I'm going to do for March, but keep trying eh?

Mizzame - I would count it in, afterall it's £30 you're not spending that you were spending before. I've saved £3 per month on my house insurance - not a huge amount but every penny counts, and I've added that in as it's £3 which is no longer being taken out of my bank account. The same when my mortgage comes through at the end of the month. There will be £100+ less being taken out of our bank account every month and as a result we will eventually go from being overdrawn to being in credit - that's a saving!!

Looks like March is going to be an expensive month as my netbook died last night. I'm not overly surprised as it is very old in IT age, and was planning to use some of the money saved from this challenge to buy a new one. Just didn't expect it to be so soon in the year. :(

I have been very good though as I've needed some new work clothes and I've bought off ebay rather than buying new. I got 2 dresses for £5.50 yesterday and as they were local I collected rather than pay P&P. :) I'm going to purge my wardrobe though over the weekend and be ruthless and put on ebay everything that I haven't worn for a long time. There are some clothes packed away too that are too big, which I kept just in case I put on weight again... well, that's no incentive to keep the weight down either so they're definitely going!

I have saved £19.97 so far today when buying birthday presents.
Going shopping in a while so I will see what I can save there too. I am trying a no cards approach to shopping. Not using any form of credit, only real money. I am hoping this will encourage me to spend less.x

  • I've been slacking and didn't actually record how much I made last month, wasn't much though.
So far this month I've taken a £225 deposit on wedding photography in August and hopefully should be taking £100 deposit on another at the end of the month/beginning of next month. Need to get as many weddings booked up as possible as I'm quitting my 'proper' job to be a freelance photographer full time in August!
I'm also photographing a car show my friend has organised this Sunday, charging £5 for onsite prints so hopefully some people will buy and I've got an interview on Tuesday for a second shooter position with another wedding photographer.
