Got an email yesterday being accepted onto a 6 month survey that I signed up for months ago. Get a nice non monetary reward but it is something we use so I'll put the money away each month instead.

Oh and 3 more £2 coins put away today. :T

At the start of February I downgraded my TV package which saves me £30 per month - should this be added to my total... I will obviously save £330 this year?

Normally I only add what I actually physically get from offers, sales, surveys, promo work etc...

    Oh what to do!

Added up my Feb totals and I'm surprised/impressed by this month! Not sure the following months will follow suit as I had a few expensive car bits on ebay this month, but I'm not over 1/4 of the way there which is great.

    Feb looks like this:

Ebay: £273.15 after fees and postage
    Topcashback £12.12 (Netflix trial)
    Freelance work: £140

    Total: £425.27 :rotfl:

Have made a payment towards the holiday account with what I've saved so far, feels great!

I rang Sky in January and got a £11 reduction in my bill. I added the £11 for February to my savings as original thought I would pay more. But I knew I would be less thereafter - so only classed it as a saving for one month. Otherwise where would it end....

Can you put that £30 into your pot? Do we have rules???? lol. I've been counting what I can get into my savings account by any means necessary - which given we are living below benefit levels at moment is through extra earning/swapping bills/eating porridge yeuch/wombling inside the house( no one leaves their spare change lying around anymore ha ha!

Right! As it was this challenge that persuaded me to downgrade my TV package I'm adding the full lot to my total.

Why? Because its a sacrafice I've made to save money and I'm proper missing my Sky Sports and ESPN, not to mention the array of films I used to get...:cry:

And! I'll save even more as now nobody will be piling into mine to watch the football every weekend, drinking all my beer and eating me out of house an home but I wont add that!

  • Ahh I've been really rubbish at remembering to post with an update, sorry!

I'm up to approx. £428 now. Awaiting a £20 cheque from a magazine and saving up all my loose change to then take the bank and add to the pot.
