I just called customer service and was told by the most unhelpful advisor that she couldnt confirm when the emails would come out or if I was even on the mailing list!

This is what usually happens, there are helpful customer service agents and some not so helpful, there are also those who give out duff information just to get you off the line. As for getting your slot log in to your account as soon as you see slots being given out you may me lucky and get the chance to book a slot before you get your email.

I have had countless invites to the sales over the years and sometimes I can log on and get a good slot and other times they have advised me after the start of the VIP sale. Last time I was away when the sale was on and so did not use my slot and since then i no longer the VIP sale.

I WANT a VIP slot but the sensible part of me hopes I don't get one cos I end up spending a fortune on things that I WANT but don't really NEED and I really need to tighten my belt as it is.

I shall let fate decide!

Last year the invites went out on Sunday 19th and so I am guessing they won't go out until tomorrow! However, hope my guessing is wrong - I like to know whether I have a slot or not as soon as pos!!

I used to get loads of stuff from next, but over the last few years have got less and less. I usually order online, but find nothing ever seems to fit and some of there clothes areny very well made. I also got peeved that despite ordering a lot of stuff one year (for a wedding, christening and home redecoration) I didnt get a VIP slot.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more fuss over the VIP slots, by now there's usually been several pages. Saying that I have found the quality and sizing of Next to have dropped! Quite alot of the stuff we've had hasn't lived up to the prices. A pair of £35 school shoes lasted 2 months, and the clothes have been quite thin and shapeless when washed (childrens range), however the ladies stuff I've ordered this year hasn't been too bad, just not the quality of past years!

I hope to get a slot as I need to stock up on kids underwear and PJ's. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't, but I'd like the choice to be able to

Last year invites went out 19th Dec, the year previous the 20th. I was thinking today, but looks like tomorrow is more likely.
