"SIM card rejected"

I take it you are using an o2 sim, could be dirt on the contacts of the sim card itself, give it a clean with a pencil rubber and try again
I have nothing better to do!!!!

Do you know what a SIM card is or looks like?
Assuming not, take the back off the phone, maybe remove the battery. You should see a small plastic thing with one corner cut off, about the size of a thumbnail probably with some numbers on. You should be able to work out how to remove it by looking at it, take it out and clean the metal contacts with a soft cloth, also clean the contacts where it touches the phone. If you go into a phone shop, they may do this for you, but they will probably also try to sell you something new!0 -
