HP RX1950 PDA with GPS £139.99

There is an offer on at Ebuyer for the RX1950 handheld PDA with GPS receiver built into the car mount for £139.99. Free delivery and quidco available.

It's woth noting that the PDA is actually very small and lightweight, not like in the eBuyer pic (it's showing it there in the screen mount). The PDA on its own is £175 on Amazon:

**Take a look at the Amazon page to see what the PDA looks like out of the holder.

A good feature of this is that it can connect to the internet wirelessly at a hotspot or at home if you have a wireless network. Only thing it's missing is bluetooth.

There's a review of the PDA here which is positive apart from the lack of bluetooth:

It's worth noting that TomTom could be installed on here.

I use tomtom 6 (and previously TT5) on my acer n35 PDA which has 266mhz, and it works just fine.
    300mhz should be plenty.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

    No, the link works fine.

I've been looking for one of these, but with the GPS built in (as I get more lost on Foot than when driving. :D). Shame this one has the GPS in the bulky cradle - as its an absolute steal!

(Actually, this is the sort of thing I've been wanting, if anyone else is interested - jsut found this at a decent price! http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Acer-N35-GPS-PDA.aspx NOTE: No Wifi, which is why I'm still looking, as I want to be able to Surf (Not sure why you can have Internet explorer on it if its not wifi...)

From what I've read, stick an SD card in, you can get 2gb easy. I'm wondering now if you can access the maps etc once its not in GPS mode, so you can still use it to get to where you're going... hmm...
  • does anybody know if tom tom speed camera alert software can be installed on PDAs along with TomTom software? :)

the unit seems to be selling fast on ebuyer..

How can you tell how well its selling?

The reviews btw seem to indicate that as its a Pocket PC, you can install whatever GPS software you like, and Tomtom is mentioned a lot.

(Ignore that first line - I just spotted where the Stock level is! :D)
