Milk and More problem

Posted this thread in the praise, vent and warning section, then noticed this, so sorry its on twice, hope someone can help as im at my wits end!

Joined milk and more in feb (live rurally, thought it was ideal). They delivered untill may when i went on a "break" till july. Rang in July to formally cancel all orders (way too expensive). All good and well.
Checked bank in november, noticed £30 had been debited from milk and more. Back tracked through statements and surprise surprise they had been taking about 20 - 30 a month out my account!!! Rang them asap, they agreed i hadnt recieved any orders BUT were concerned as the orders had been changing from week to week. They said they will look into it. This was on the 10th of nov. Since then i am ringing each week, i have given my bank details to the credit debt, so they could refund me. Spoke to numerous people and keep getting told, its in the credit depts hands, or they need more info from the depot etc. Rang them a bit ago and asked to speak to a manager. I am chronically ill (some people may know i have severe lupus affecting my kidney). I know its only 130 pound or so, but that would be 4 or 5 xmas prezzies for my little boy, if you get me!!

Anyone else had any problems or can anyone advise me on what to say to them. I have given them an hour for a supervisor to ring me back. that was at 10.20. Any help here would be great!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You don't say how the payments are made but if it is by direct debit get on to your bank and claim a full refund under the Direct Debit Guarantee scheme

Oh and cancel the direct debit assuming you haven't signed a contract for a specific time period

  • Was through my debit card. I have now cancelled that card to prevent anymore payments. Didn't sign anything. Can't understand why, after i cancelled my orders totally, did they carry on taking the money?? I half blame myself, should have checked my bank more!!!!

There is a good chance you have authorised a continuous payment authority on your debit card. You need to check the terms and conditions.

If the company do not help get onto your bank as just cancelling the card wont stop the debits if that is the case.

I would have gone to the bank or phoned your banked, which ever one is easier, and I would have filed a Fraud Claim where they will investigate it for you and if they find any foul play, they would refund you in full.
  • I have had no end of problems with M&M. My latest problem is that my order was never delivered and I prepaid for it on my debit card because previous problems with them taking incorrect amounts from my bank, two and a half weeks later I am still waiting for my refund onto my card. Rang 5 times so far but still they can't get it right. Never using them again.
