stale food at fast-food restaurant

Hi,
Before few days I went to one of the popular fast-food restaurants and ate an item which was stale. I had already eaten half of it before i noticed the fungi and the weird taste. Got a refund and the restaurant accepted their fault. I had a bad stomach and pain for few days and had to visit hospital but now everything is okay.
I had holidays booked during those few days so didn't had to call sick at office. But had to stay at home ruining my holiday plans. Where do I stand ? Can I ask for compensation?

Depends on what you can prove. But I doubt a mouldy bit of bread would no much harm0

I have got manager accepting the fault in writing.[STRIKE]Deposit: 25000!!/15000[/STRIKE] Homeowner :j

If you got a sick note the employer might have given you the holidays back.
PRoving food poisoning is always difficult. Did you give samples at the time?0 -

What does this say? What 'fault' are they taking liability for? Whether you can link illness to this note is the next question... and did you get a doctors note? if not, how are you going to prove you was ill and with what symptons?0 -
No, I didn't
But i did click photo of the bad food.[STRIKE]Deposit: 25000!!/15000[/STRIKE] Homeowner :j

Even a doctor's note doesn't prove that your illness was caused by the food. You'd have to have stool sample tested really. Put it down to experience and move on.0

Well that experience has almost put me off any food cooked other than my kitchen...
find it so odd that any restaurant can just get away providing with low quality food by giving an instant refund.[STRIKE]Deposit: 25000!!/15000[/STRIKE] Homeowner :j

so what do you have in writing?
selling poor quality food is a big big industry, have you seen all the kebab houses out there? it's tastes damn good, but don't ever tell me whats in it.
but there's a difference between providing low quality food and food that causes health risks.. so what exactly was the problem with the food?0 -
Many companies let you reschedule holiday days if you were sick on the time booked off. Worth asking if yours will?0

The bread was all green/black fungi on the sides with an odd taste.[STRIKE]Deposit: 25000!!/15000[/STRIKE] Homeowner :j
