Am looking for petite size clothes and have come across this thread. Have already looked at some of above mentioned websites and added others to Favourites to look through later. Quite a list there.
I'm under 5 ft tall and looking for an outfit to wear for my niece's wedding in less than a month's time.
Does anyone know of any websites which specialise in occasion wear, or something a bit special? Looking for top, skirt and jacket (I think), but most of the tops seem to have wide gaping necklines or they're sleeveless, or strongly patterned, etc. Looking for something simple and elegant. Teen size clothing wouldn't fit unfortunately.
Any help appreciated.0 -

I am 4 ft 11, size 8 and have great difficulty finding stylish clothes. However I have found that Country Casuals sizing suits me really well. Outfit for my daughter's wedding from there 7 years ago, outfit for my son's wedding from there last year. Have just bought an outfit to wear to a wedding in May. Bought from clearance sale - separates of long dress and short sleeved jacket - for under £90.00. Trousers are a huge problem for me. A lot of M&S styles do not come in size 8 short. Emailed to complain and to be honest reply basically was there was no demand for the short length in small sizes!0 -
Thanks very much for replying.
Have searched Google for Country Casuals, are they known as CC Occasions? I have their website saved as a Favourite and they do seem to have some nice clothes.
Am hopeless buying smart clothes, usually wear trousers and top, and finding it difficult to choose.0 -
Libra10 - yes it is CC these days. Here is the link to the outfit I have bought. They are definitely worth trying, especially if there is a branch near you where you can try things on to see if they are a good fit.
Hope you are successful.

Thanks for replying.
The outfit you chose is beautiful, it's a gorgeous colour and looks lovely and elegant.
I checked Google and surprisingly, it seems CC have a concession at a Broadbents store about 10 miles from us.
Have been looking at their online store and they do stock some gorgeous items. Will possibly head to town and see what they have to offer, as I prefer trying on before buying.
Thanks very much for your help.0
