First of all apologies to OP for having to post the following on their thread, as it is no longer relevant to their original post.
It is however relevant to answer this nonetheless.
lita first post on this thread 1342 07:12:11
DVS first post on this tread 1534 07:12:11
    newhome4us firstpost on this thread 1828 17:12:11

conclusion: you are posting for the sole purpose of having a go at me

prediction: more resurrected threads where you have a go at me and offer no help to OP yourself..

I am not the least bit better off for your insincere Christmas wishes.

edit: Your campaign has been going on since October. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...=#post47930615

Look DVardy, you are quite right, I do not post and answer many different threads every single day. This is mainly for two simple reasons:
    1. I have a job to do, so I can't, nor would I want to, spend every waking minute of my life on MSE forum. I did not however realise that having a life outside of this forum is indded a crime, nor did I realise there's punishment for it, but please feel free to shoot me!!
    2. I restrict myself to posting only if I think that I really have something useful to say on the particular issue, be it from professional or personal experience, be it because I feel really strongly about the issue and feel my opinion might be relevant or will give the OP moral support. I do not post for the sake of posting, or for the sake of enjoying the sound of my own words.

I have come across this thread as it was directly related to the issue I was interested in and the one I am myself dealing with at present. That's why I posted on it, as I thought I had some valuable advice to share on that issue and seeing that particular advice wasn't already offered in this thread I replied to OP.
I did so because the thread wasn't closed nor ancient and I thought my post might still be relevant to the OP. IMHO that is what forums are all about.
Again feel free to shoot any time.

Now admittedly, when herein I came across yet another one of your sanctimonious rants along the lines: ... OP we really, really, really need to know much, much, much more detail in order to provide you with any answer to your question .., well the temptation was just too great ;)
So yes, having an opportunity to have a go at you at the same time was a welcome added bonus. Although you only really have yourself to blame, as you just made it so easy, you are virtually everywhere answering absolutely everything, you are impossible to escape from.

Anyway, as you obviously spend a lot of time here, and quite often give valuable answers and advice (I give credit where credit is due, not a problem, just check some of your earlier posts that I have thanked you for) Oh wait, you have checked that post, in fact you gave a link to it, but in your opinion that is where my campaign has started! Puzzling that
Again, I'll say it, credit where the credit is due.
You see however, you also quite often seem to go in a very different direction as well and somewhat abuse your long standing forum member status and support you get given by other long standing members. I'm talking about other numerous instances where you throw your weight around becoming rather obtrusive with the OP, by demanding answers to all sorts of counter-questions that are really not necessary and don't seem to serve any other purpose but to satisfy someones curiosity. And if the OP doesn't comply with your demands it is not a simple matter of DVardy accepting that, oh no, it is a time for that dark shadow of DVardysShadow to fall upon them!!

And that DVardy I really do have a problem with - a big problem as well!!

It is one thing to tell someone you can't help them or provide them with valuable advice, usually refraining yourself from answering their post will do that for you. It is a completely different thing to often quite rudely tell them off because they wouldn't divulge the details that are mostly non relevant and to thus put them in a position where they need to defend themselves. I have told you this before and you didn't like it then either

So I stand behind my observation that such behaviour isn't really in the spirit of MSE forum and that it shouldn't be encouraged whatever your status or reputation is. If you can't refrain yourself from that type of behaviour maybe you should restrict yourself to posting only on those parts of the MSE forum where people are simply airing their opinions and just having a chat.

Otherwise, do not worry, I won't be resurrecting any old posts, I've already given your shenanigans more time that I ought to.

So by all means, feel free to continue to pick a bone, but me... I'm over and out

PS. My Christmas wishes were indeed sincere, but you are free to do with them as you wish.
